Hi.

Does anyone have any ideas where the best place is to see the fireworks? Even though we'll be there for 5 nights I want to plan where to see the fireworks from without too many problems!;) I know wishful thinking at this time of year!!

The parade spots are sorted thanks to advice seen on the DIS boards but we're a bit stuck about fireworks. Still can't believe that this time next week we'll be there!!:goodvibes

The best place is right in front of the candlebration stage. Although it gets quite busy it's worth watching fantillusion from there, and then getting as close as you can to the stage :)

If you dont like crowds then my bf and I watched it one night from the path leading from plaza gardens to dicoverland (by the funny river/fountain bit) and although the fireworks were off centre to the castle it was just us there was still lovely.

The area on the opposite side of the castle (i.e. as you head round towards Frontierland) is also a reasonable place to watch them from. As above, they are slightly off-centre, but it's not really a big issue and it's not really that noticeable, plus the thinner crowds make it slightly more pleasurable.

The other option - pray for a thunderstorm. Everybody leaves the park when Fantillusions is cancelled due to a thunderstorm, so the park is almost empty when the fireworks happen anyway :cool1:

DD and myself are terrified of thunderstorms!!:scared1:

I know what you mean though. When we went in May last year Candlebration was cancelled and the park was so quiet - we managed to do BTM 4 times in 30 minutes!

Think the suggestions of standing on the little side paths is good as it'll also help with a quick escape down the arcades!

It doesn't need to happen while you're there, just being forecast seems to be enough. When it happened to us, it rained a little and briefly in the park, but no more than that - the thunderstorm came about 11:30 / midnight. However, the small amount of rain that did come down was still enough to get Fantillusions cancelled.
