Best place to view Illuminations at EPCOT?

We are going to the world on Thanksgiving for 10 days and want to see it really well, me mum likes it but doesnt really get it and I want her to really enjoy it. Can anybody tell me where the best locations to view Illuminaitions as we will have a few opportunities to see it?? Thanks so much for the ideas!

I think on the Future World side is the best. After viewing it many many times from the FW side we watched from France last night and it wasn't the same for me. It was too far away and I felt like we were watching the back side of it.

There are a number of places around the World Showcase that will get recommended (or not recommended to keep the secret ). The key is to get a clear view of the lagoon without a tree overhead. I've viewed it in a number of places, all with great views. We got stuck under a tree once, wasn't the best view...but even a horrible view at Disney World is better than a clear view of your desk at work.

Exactly! I think everywhere around the lagoon overs a great view. My only criteria is the wind. I find out which way the wind/breeze is blowing and I go to the opposite side. Too much smoke!

My family and I go in the little sitting area next to the the concert hall in the American pavilion. We always have a perfect view.

Most any place around the lake is an excellent area. Just don't expect to have a good spaot if you just walk up at the last minute. People start claiming their spots hours before. We're always ready to rest our feet by then anyways.

My friends and I went to France and got champagne and then watched from the bridge close by. It was magical. We thought the champagne added that little something special!

If you go to the side of the lagoon near America, Morrocco, around in there, sometimes you can get a pretty good spot with very short notice. I think people avoid that area because they want to make a fast get-away, and being in that area makes it pretty much impossible.

My personal favorite spot, is in between the two shops on the FutureWorld side of the lagoon. But I've found Italy to be a good spot also. If you stand against the wall with the water fountain and steps (when you're facing Italy, its on the right), you can see over people's heads and you can lean against the wall. People usually try and get up close to the lagoon, so they usually won't stand infront of you.
