We are a group of 8

We have 2 seniors - 2 kids 4 and almost 6 and 4 adults

We can not afford priority seating for the show this Friday - Grandma and Grandpa are willing to camp out

What suggestions do you have for our group -

We are thinking of bringing a blanket for Grandma to spread out to save spae on the area right in front of the river.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Sounds like you've got the right idea. To be center, look for two barrels in the water in front of the island (there's actually 3 sets, but look for the center ones). If you go between them, but slightly more towards the left one, you'll be center.

Yep, just bring a blanket and aim for center, near the railing so you'll be in front. "Neat sheets" work really well. Then you dont have to worry about bringing a good blanket and having people step on it or spill on it.

If any of your party are using wheelchairs or scooters, there is an area specifically set aside for them and their party. CM's working Fantasmic! can direct you to it and you get a very good view of the left side of the 3 areas. If not, then the "camp out way in advance" theory is you bestbet.

Riverbelle Terrace might also work for you. With a cowd that size you have plenty of people to keep "eating". One caveat, RBT is scheduled for rehab/closure.....and i don't know if that has all ready happened, and how that will effect the seating areas.

We camp out ahead of time and I agree that a Neat Sheet works great, but we don't like being right up by the railing. We like to sit back probably about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way back so that we're not watching through the railing. Everything happens up high enough so that it's above the railing and all the heads in front of us, but I don't like sitting close and watching through the rails. It may just be me though, so check it out and see what you'd prefer. We usually bring an Uno game and play cards while we wait. I recommend bringing a towel to fold up and sit on for padding for the adults.

Camping out with sheets is a good idea...but since it is at night, make sure to bring along jackets and other blankets to keep you warm during the wait. The show itself uses water screens to project the animation, so it gets wet/cold during some of the sequences.

Just FYI, Riverbelle Terrace seating area was still intact as of last weekend (4/1) to be used for Fantasmic.

I vote for Riverbelle Terrace, however, it is a long wait. When I go there I usually get there about 5pm (this is usually for out-of-town guests) and get one of the front tables - my favorite is the one in the corner. They can grab a bite to eat & people watch -- the rest of you can get there around 7 or 7:30 & get some dinner. You'll be above the heads of people walking, be sitting in chairs instead of on the ground, which is better for the seniors, imo.

Good luck! :flower:

Definitely bring something warm to sit on. We camped out in November, it was 80 degrees during the day, but my bottom was still frozen for what seemed like hours after the the show. It really cools off once the sun goes down!
