I really dislike fighting the crowds and waiting for hours to see a parade. Any advice for seeing the ELP at DCA tomorrow night?

Does anyone know that the parade route is?

Thanks in advance!

What are they replacing the parade with, Spectro? I'm heading out to both WDW and DLR this summer.

Nothing is "replacing" it. Rather the work on DCA has made for a complicated parade route and the new World of Color show will be available to fill the gap until the DCA work is complete. Then EP will return in April 2012.

Read all about it here:

We got our spot about 2 hours before the parade started and we got an awesome spot! We had 6 of us there, so a couple of us stayed at our spot and the others went shopping. We sat right across from the train restaurant thingy... can't remember the name for some reason, but I'm sure people will know where I'm talking about lol. We were able to leave directly after the parade finished with no problems.

The train is actually the Zephyr and houses Bur-r-r Bank Ice Cream, Bakersfield Bakery and the toy store in Sunshine Plaza. That area is the area I would pick to watch EP. We will be back to see if before it leaves on 4/18. My DNephew performs in it and we saw the premiere on 3/19 and want to be there for (his) last performance that we can see. He won't be there on the last day.

So look for us around the plaza on Friday, the 17th. :goodvibes

I have a link below to my videos of the first parade on You Tube in 3 installments. I filmed from the Playhouse Disney Waiting area (special seating) and had a great view. Enjoy!

The parade doesn't have a very long route due to WOC construction. Starts at Sunshine Plaza and ends by Mission Tortilla Factory.

We saw the parade on 04/02, 2 days before Easter (crowded), and we found a great spot infront of the Bakery Tour, a little towards the right of it, where there are some rocks. We got a spot 45 min before the parade. It was a good spot because we could see the parade coming towards us, and then passing along, so we got great pictures. And also, since the rocks were behind us, we didn't have anybody behind and we could rest our backs on the rocks which was nice. We had dinner sitting there while waiting, and there are many dinner options nearby.
