What's the best restaurant to use 2 sit down credits? We are going to do the deluxe dining plan on our next trip just for the main purpose of doing a tour of some of the "fancier" restaurants.
I will have an almost two year old then. Not sure if that will make a difference in the selections.
We are considering Yachtmsan (we've always wanted to eat here)
Mickey's Back Yard Barbecue
and California Grill
Are we missing something better? I love seafood, but my husband doesn't. So, I took a few options out just because of that. He did agree, though, to go to Coral Reef, so I don't think I'll get a second seafood restaurant in on this trip.

Some of the 2TS don't work very well for young children as the atmosphere and service is set more for adult parties. Many of the menus have wine pairings, wait staff will be very dressy, service is set at a pace for a relaxing evening and young children usually do not want to sit still for that long, etc.

The places I do not think are very condusive to enjoyment with young children (and you won't see a lot of young children at these places) are:

JIKO
Yachtsman
Citricos

The places I feel are more suited to parties with young children are

CA Grill
Narcoosees
Artist Point
Flying Fish

These places are a little more "lively", more children in the dining parties.

Also LeCellier is a steakhouse that is more lively also if you are set on eating good steak. There will be more children there than at Yachtsman.

All of these places will take 60-90 minutes to eat and perhaps longer depending on what you order. We also do appetizer and desserts and I don't remember ever getting done in less than 90 minutes. We are never in a hurry though.

Everyone's opinion will be different and also how your children handle sitting for long periods of time in a quiet restaurant may be different than the next persons too. I've eaten at all of these places many times and the ones I selected are based on where I would feel comfortable taking my 3 year old grandson and where I would not as he's pretty much done sitting at the 60 minute mark max.

If it were up to me, I'd go to California Grill. As the previous poster said, it's livelier than some of the others. Plus, there's a good selection for people who don't like seafood (like me).

Narcoossee's...great food, service and atmosphere. We had a new 6yo with us and they had a birthday button and personalized menus waiting for us. I made no requests for our meal, it was just info noted in our record. He was amazed at the Disney magic and we absolutely loved the meal! I cannot see being disappointed here!

How about the Fantasmic! package at Brown Derby? The food was some of the best of the week and you get the advantage of the FP for Fantasmic!
