Well, odds are you'll be directed to a seat and won't get a choice, but there's advantages and disadvantages to both:
Front: if you're in the very front seat, during the section where they pull you up to go back you get an amazing view of the rest of the World. Its really fantastic. The down size is that in the front the ride is pretty tame.
Back: is the place to be if you want to FEEL the ride. The back is much more exhilarating!! You get the Gs more and get more of a rush. Bad side is you don't get the pretty view of the front and you get jerked around a lot more.
My brother and I sat in the back. I did not want to sit in the front since it was my first time so I kept hoping the CM's wouldn't put us in the front.
I've sat up in the front, in the middle, and in the back. I have to say that the best spot to sit, by FAR, is the very first row. It is such a better ride up there. BTW, if you want to sit in the first row, you have to request in and may have a bit of a wait.
Like most of the other posters the front and the back are the best. We were lucky to have the front several times for our trip. What an amazing view. The back, just because it is always fun to have the last car on a coaster. Have a great time!
