Is there a best place to see fireworks at Seaworld? We're going in July!

Thanks!

In the past they have done 2 screens on the lake. They close the bridge before Mystify begins so you want to get back over to the waterfront area or over in the area of the SpiceMill Cafe/skytower area. We usually try to get in the area where the outdoor tables are,

Thanks for the advice. Are the outdoor tables you are talking about right outside of the Spice Mill?

Thanks again,

I worry about telling a good spot, but I guess most of you will not be there the same day as me. :teeth:

Go to the corner of the lake and the Seafire Inn, then walk along the lake toward the Atlantis Stadium, thru the bushes if you have to, there is a little path. At one point you may have to step over a 2 ft rail. You are on the back outdoor patio of the restaurant I think, which is closed by this time. If you can get a spot on the short wall along here, and competition is fierce, you have a great view of the water screen, and are closer to the fireworks than over at the Spice Mill. I saw the show from there last month and it was great.

The best thing is you are one of the closest guests to the main gate, and can be one of the first out of the parking lot if you :cool1: fast. Those over by the Spice Mill are in the middle of the herd.

The outdoor tables at the Spice Mill give a good view of the Mystify show, but you have to peer through strings of "bars" to see the show. Even when the park was packed during Christmas week, only a few people sat in the outdoor seating area to view the show.

Are the fireworks only in the summer or are they also in December?
Thank you

I think the fireworks are only in the summer. I have been going since January and this is the first month that they have done fireworks.

I saw them April 22. The park stayed open late a few weekends around Easter/Spring Break with fireworks, then wham back to 6 or 7 closing and no fireworks till the summer crowds hit.

I think as a rule of thumb, they have fireworks whenever the park is open late. I found that the best time/place to see them is to go to the late seating of the Luau and it gets out just about 15 minutes before the fireworks and you can just stay at or near the SeaFire Inn which is at the waterfront itself. It works out great.

Do they have a handicapped viewing area? Climbing over the rail won't work to good for me!

As for having to look through bars at the Spice Mill.......We must have been at a different spot. There was a short wall that we leaned on but no bars. Maybe we were down a ways from the actual restaurant area, but we walked through a patio like area to get there. Maybe where we watched from is now blocked off by a construction wall? Hard to remember without being there. LOL
One thing to remember is that if you are over by Wild Arctic or Shamu stadium you do have to walk the long way around( not over the bridge) to get to a good spot to view Mystic. don't watch it from the back side.
