Any suggestions on where is the best place to watch the FIRST parade ? (We're just not counting on our kids staying up until midnight) Does is "snow" only during the parade and at midnight?
Also, this might sound like a stupid question, but I need to know : weather-wise....what kind of clothing those of you who have been to MVMCP during late November usually wear? (We are from PR so we're not used to cold climates) Is it really heavy jackets/coats or just plain sweatshirts?
Any other strategies/tips that come to your mind regarding the party are welcome!!!

Thanks,
Mayte

Hey, we are going in early Dec. and would love to know the answers to your questions as well! We also want to make the earlier parade, no way my kids will make it to the later one. Do we need to line up early, or can we just go when it starts?

We caught it a couple years ago in Frontierland in front of the Country Bears. It was a good view. We got there about 45 minutes before hand and found a place to squeeze in. It only snows on Main Street.

One of the best places is right on top of the train station. The parade starts at the fire stating and comes right in front of you.

We will probably see the second parade. Is the area around Casey's Hot Dogs a good spot? Is it a popular spot? How early should we stake out a spot?

Not sure what the name of it is but we watched it last year from the top of the stairs of the old Diamond Horseshoe Revue.....we went in and got our hot cocoa and cookies and walked out in time to watch it! Perfect but it was freezing out that night!

That does sound like the perfect spot.

Is this at the train station? I'm a bit confused...

And don't worry...we won't tell anyone else... :teeth:

Glad you asked this question :) We are going the week after Thanksgiving and it will be our family's first visit during the holiday season. My daughters are 9 and 11, so we plan to catch the second parade.

Clothes-wise you may have to play it by ear. I've been to 3 MVMCPs so far and only one was hot, the others were FREEZING! I remember waiting for the second parade and we were shaking we were so cold.

The snow is only on Main Street. I prefer seeing this parade on Main Street. In my experience at least on Main Street, you have to stake out a spot at least 45 minutes before if you want the curb for BOTH parades.

These are great. Thanks for the tips. I'm another first time MVMCPer. My kids also probably won't last until the last parade.

I prefer seeing the second parade on Main Street. It's nice with the snow falling. The second parade isn't near as crowded.
