Best place to see Fireworks from Poly?

Hi, I am not at all familiar with the Poly and I was wondering about a good MK fireworks viewing spot. We are going to have dinner at Ohona at 5:00 and the fireworks will be starting that evening at 7:15. I don't think that dinner will take that long (they will probably want to kick us out if we hang around for over 2 1/2 hours).

So, where should we go after dinner to get the best view? Thanks for your help.

You could go down to the dock or on the beach area after dinner. Those would be good spots! Ren

I agree with renessa. The view is great from either spot. We have seen many fireworks from the Poly. We prefer the beach to watch because it gets a little less crowded. Enjoy the display.

We stayed at the Poly for Christmas, and watched the fireworks from the beach right by the pool. You can sit on on lounge chair, and after the fireworks are over the water pagent starts right there(a bonus!). You can even hear the music from there. We think it is the absolute best place to watch them, and there aren't any crowds to fight. Hope you have a great time!

We have stayed at the Poly twice and love to watch the fireworks from the beach. They pipe in the music and we sit on chairs in the sand and relax.

Thanks again, everyone. It sounds like it's going to be great.
I'm having a little trouble NOT thinking about my trip every waking moment. 13 days to go!

I just have to chime in and throw in another vote for the beach. It is a very romantic, low-key spot to watch the fireworks.

On our first trip in December 99 we were the only ones out on the beach for the fireworks. :)

You can watch the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. You can sit on the sand or there are lounge chairs & hammocks you can sit on as well. There is the Electrical Water Parade that goes by the Polynesian nightly. It is usually at 9pm, but with the fireworks that you just listed going off at 7:15pm, you may want to check to see if they are showing this earlier. When I went last November/December, we had a bonus on certain days, where they would shoot the Fantasy Fireworks, then shoot the MVMCP fireworks right afterwards. This was really cool, since these are shot off in the round. Besides the main beach which tends to draw the most people, try sitting on one of the benches at the boat launch dock or stroll up to the point (where they do weddings) and watch them from there. I found the beach in front of the Tahiti building to be very empty, so if you want privacy and quiet, this would be a great place to watch them. Hope this helps!

One of my best memories was laying in a hammock, have a cold one while smoking a great cigar while watching the fireworks over the castle. Nobody was in sight!

If it is a little crowded by the dock, just walk down the beach a little and you should have no problem finding a nice place to sit and relax.
