Best place to meet up with group before rope drop?

I’m organizing a largish group trip (around 15 friends), and I’m wondering what would be the best place to meet up before rope drop? It has to be very specific, easy-to-find for park newbies, and close-ish to the rope drop (after security and ticket scanning), but away from the crush of the crowds.
Suggestions?

EVERYONE is allowed onto Main St around 8:00 on a 9:00 a.m. opening. There won't be a rope drop crush of people right at the entrance to MK. Most people will make their way down toward the castle. I'd say "meet at the flag pole" which is pretty hard to miss. However, there may be a character meeting there, so you may want to say the left side or the right side (as you face the castle) of the flag pole.

Yeah the flag pole will work. Characters don't start meeting until after 9am
It could also be at the train station, there's no one there early in the morning
