My boys will be 3 & 5 when we go. We're staying at the POR and I was thinking about having dinner in DTD our first night there. Not sure where to go though.

If they are not afraid of loud noises/animatronics, I'd recommend either T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe. Both are owned by Landry's Restaurant Chain so they are not on the Dining Plan, but they do have kids meals, large portions and are almost like eating inside a theme park. RFC has different animal themed rooms, gorillas, things like that. TRex has dinos. Both are loud, both from people and from the animatronics. HTH

If you want a quick service option Wolfgang Puck Express is awesome. My DH and I love it!

We ate at TRex this week for lunch and I wouldn't do it again. It's just way too loud and, I thought, too expensive. My DS (4) entree was about $7, which was fine, but we had to pay for fries and his drink on top of that. In total his was about $12. We could not even hear half of what our waitress was saying; she didn't seem to even try to speak up. That may have colored my opinion too; I hate bad service! I do love Earl of Sandwich and went into Wolfgang Puck Express(we had ADR's at the Cafe and I went to the wrong place) and it looked great; I'll definitely try it on my next trip.

Earl of Sandwich. Kid friendly and parent friendly. Yummy kid deserts. Goofy is just across the way with more desert options!

I say Wolfgang Puck Express. They have REALLY GOOD food. Plus, they have good "kids food" too...like chicken breast tenders (with panko bread crumbs!), super good mac and cheese, and REALLY good pizzas. It's sort of like CS/TS hybrid. You order at the counter, but they bring the food to your table when it's ready. You can also buy wine by the glass or bottle! Really great place to eat, and there is indoor or outdoor seating available.

We really enjoyed T-Rex cafe. Our waitress last February was wonderful and the food was good. Not spectacular, but good. We sat in the ice room. Nex time I would ask for the green room, but I still enjoyed the experience. Now, my kids were old enough that I didn't have to spend money on build-a-dino. About five years ago, I would have had a hard time getting my kids out of there without spending a fortune!!
