We are staying at Animal Kingdom for week at the end of May.

Is there somewhere I can have a beer and the wife some wine while the kids play at night. Not too late but open until 11 o'clock or midnight.

What about the pool bar? I'm not sure how late it stays open but I think that's your only option if you want the kids nearby.

Pool bars whilst the kids swim usually work best on an evening if you can keep the kids up that late! ours are out for the count by 9.30 10pm.

I have no idea if I was supposed to do this or not, at the time, I never thought to ask.

But last year in May I took a drink from the inside bar near Boma and brought outside to the campfire area. This was around 6 or 7. The kids listened to the storyteller that night and then watched the animals.

The Pool Bar is great while the kids swim or bring everyone over the hot tubs was nice. It closed earlier than Victoria Falls(Inside) when we were there in March. Our kids loved going to Simba's Club house and we hung out at the pool bar one night, very worthwhile although a little expensive at $10/hour per kid.

Mexico in Epcot...grrrreat Margaritas!
Anywhere in Epcot really, the kids can do the Kidcot Funstop while you two sample each country's offerings!

Pool bar is a good idea. Go over to the Polynesian, even if you aren't staying there and let the kids play in the sand on the beach There is a cute beach bar there you will enjoy. Time it to watch the fireworks at Mk and it's an added bonus! :woohoo:

Great idea. We will be staying at the Poly and I will be sure to file this tip in my trip planning folder! Thanks!

You can ask for a "to go" cup (plastic cup) and they will pour your drink into it. Then you are free to take your drink around the resort with you.

I got a "to go" drink from the inside bar at AKL and brought it to the Lobby. My DS was watching tv with the other kids.
