any ideas? will consider hotels and boardwalk anf want to avoid downtown disney if possible but if there is somewhere amazing then i might consider it

WCC at WL is a good place. ESPN is a good place. You dont need ADRs for it either. Im sure others will pipe in soon.

Maybe Kona,Boma,The Wave,1900 Park Fare,Grand Flordian Cafe,Spoodles,Shulas,Narcosses,yachtsman,Planet Hollywood,any where Downtown.

I have to second the grand floridian cafe. DH and I like it alot. It has a nice atmosphere, its an easy trip from the MK, and its not too fancy that you'd feel out of place in "park clothes". We've had some really nice lunches there, and since it is less popular, its easier to get an ADR.

Kona or House of Blues would be my suggestions. A lot of the resort and DTD locations don't have lunch service.

The Wave laso has lunch, but I haven't eaten there since it opened so no recommendation either way.

I will very often stop in at Kona for lunch. It is never crowded at lunchtime and has a very wide variety of food.

The FLYING FISH CAFE on the Boardwalk is ALWAYS our pick. Just walk to it (or boat) from EPCOT......nice atmosphere, lovely menu. You can sit and eat at the bar and get some good conversation from the bartender, or sit at a table. Then when you're done stop at the bakery right there on the boardwalk. It's so nice to hear the whistle of the boats going between the resorts and EPCOT/MGM. We love it there...

They only serve dinner. It's a tasty dinner, but won't serve the purpose for a lunch. :)

I'd like to try the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. I've done Kona before for lunch and liked it, but I hear good things about the GF Cafe. The alternative "lunch" I've had was actually the afternoon tea at the Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian. I get the Grand Tea each time and love it.

I'm afraid to ask for more Devonshire cream, but I could bathe in the stuff.

These are great suggestions. I would also consider Big River Grille on the boardwalk for a lunch.

Happy Planning.

We love Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona Cafe for lunch.

Beaches & Cream?!?! I'm a huge fan of WPE, but you mentioned wanting to avoid DTD...

Flying Fish does not serve lunch.

There is Raglan Road and House of Blues in Downtown Disney, we love them both.

The gaylord palms has a great buffet restaurant that serves lunch, you might even be there during the alligator feedings. Great resort, fun to check out.
Their pool bar restaurant has good food also, just for a change.

Add Olivia's at Old Key West to your list. One of my favorites!
