Best place to grab a cheeseburger outside the parks?

Thank you for your suggeston. We have a Sonic just down the street from us. I was hoping to find somewhere on property. I have been to several resturants on property, and all with good food, but I really just want to find a good cheeseburger.

LOL. I figured that. They show commericals for Sonic everyday on TV here but the closest one to us is about 200 miles away. When we went to WDW last summer we made it a point to go to Sonic. I thought the food was great (in terms of fast food joints).

I also suggest Sonic. Their burgers are some of the best fast food burgers I've gotten (aside from Jack in The Box or Carl's Jr, who are west coast only, sadly), and they are pretty cheap too.

I know you didn't ask for a restaurant in the parks, and perhaps you've tried this, but we really enjoy the Plaza Restaurant in MK. A full service restaurant that serves primarily sandwiches, a soup, a salad + ice cream. Made to order food while you sit down and relax, and are served. Much better than any of the counter service burgers. This is the description:


Angus Chuck Cheeseburger - served on a flour-dusted kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Choose from the following toppings: Cheddar, American cheese, Bacon, Grilled Mushrooms and Grilled Onions $11.99

It comes with choice of fries, home made chips, or broccoli slaw (I request they switch this out for the German potato salad, which is a nice change). And, yes, you can get ALL of the above toppings added to the burger for $11.99. It's big.

DH and i had cheeseburgers at The Wave yesterday. Not the best ever. Bit not bad.
Sadly, find a 5 Guys Burger place...

I don't know what the burgers are like in The Fountain.

Good call on Five Guys...I don't know if one has opened near the parks, but I remember there being one near the Wal Mart on John Young Parkway.

I think there is a Fudruckers or two in the area as well...

O my goodness thank you guys sooo much. I remember being in Disney World about four years ago. We were going to pick our daughter up at the airport in Orlando, but we wanted to stop at the Walmart on the way to do a little shopping. Of course we got lost and so we stopped at a little plaza to ask for directions and use the bathrooms. We felt sort of obligated to buy something (and it smelled really good) so we bought a hamburger and fries for my dh and myself to share and to go. It was soooo good. We took a mental note of the name. Of couse that didn't last long. Senility setting in . Anyways, it was the best burger and I always wanted to go back but had no clue what it was called. But Five Guys sounds familiar and it is near the Walmart so that must be it, if it is in a small plaza. We don't have Five Guys in Canada.

Well..sure they are! But there aren't any in Florida! So that would be WAY outside the park.

Beaches and Cream! Yum, it's on our list as a 'must-have' each trip. Not as high on my list as a Dole Whip is, but still rates high!

The fountain over at the Dolphin resort and Espn Club are both very good.B&C is good , not great and not worth the long waits.

The Fountain at the Dolphin, and the Cabana bar grill out by the Dolphin pool. HOB isn't bad. The Raglan Road lunch menu burger rocks as well.
