Best place to get passport pics done in GTA??

I was wondering where the best place to get passport pictures taken is. I have heard stories of people getting to the passport office and having their pictures rejected. Somewhere in the back of my mind I also seem to recall that there is a new technology used to take passport photos. Are all photo places now using this technology? Does the CAA office take passport photos? I'm trying to minimize any problems as my DH isn't enthused about getting passports in the first place.

Go to most Black's stores. They know what to look for and if you blink and close your eyes they will do it again for you.

I believe that all CAA Travel Centres take passport photos (the one at Yorkdale mall used to). Sears photo shop also used to take good passport photos. The following page from the Passport Office website outlines all of the specifications for passport photos:

The BCAA only does adult passport photos for some reason. I just had mine done at the local Wal-mart. No problems with photos!

I second the Kodak. They were very miticulous with DSs pic. He is just shy of 3 and trying to get a kid that age to sit still, not smile, not show any teeth, look straight ahead - and all at the same time - is a bit of a miracle. But the people at Black's just kept at it until they were satisfied with the results. I was very happy - because if someone tries to stop me when my counter is zero there are gonna be some problems!!!! LOL

I would NOT recommend CAA. DD (then 5) and I both had our photos taken there. Hers were accepted - mine rejected! I had to run downstairs in the mall, pay for another set of photographs to be done and run back to the passport office before it closed - all this AFTER waiting for over three hours!!!

If you have a Costco/Priceclub membership, get it done there. They do it for around 7 or 8$ bucks (I think - I know it is cheaper than most places) they are fast and the photo's a pretty good. The give a little envelope with the 2 pics in it, and the pics already have the spot for signatures. Really easy there.

Went to Costco too and our photos turned out a lot better than the ones I've seen friends get! With taxes I think it came to 6.89$...and the girl did 2 and we chose the one we liked best!

I'll second Costco. $7 is a good deal. Unfortunately it cost me $297.00 because once we got the photo done we ended up inside the )#*$)@(#@#()$ store.
