Best place to get dinner at MK?

Taking out of the equation character dining meals, where would you recommend for dinner at Magic Kingdom? We have a 6 and 7 year old, both pretty picky eaters (like most kids).

I don't know what your kids like, but my favorite restaurant at MK is Skipper Canteen.

Our 7yo kid is the opposite of picky, so we don’t know what’s the kid’s menu like, but our favorite is Skipper Canteen. The rest of the sit-down are pretty much all the same if you take out the characters.

I like Liberty Tree Tavern for a sit down and Cosmic Rays for a QS. My kids love their roasted chicken and sides. It gets us away from the burger and nuggets that they seem to eat every day.

Our favorite is Skipper Canteen, but if your kids are picky, you may want to consider The Plaza. I would check the menus and see what appeals to you!

Wow, this is subjective... FWIW, my family loves Crystal Palace. I love the salmon and salads. Lots of choices for the kids, and they LOVE all the desserts. Plus, they love Pooh!

SORRY! I just reread your post. You did not want characters! My vote is Cosmic Rays. The kids LOVE the animatronic!

What do they like? Picky can mean different things. I would look at the menus here or on allears to se what might work for your family.

For a TS meal, we liked Liberty Tree Tavern when our kids were little. It is turkey, pot roast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese and a vegetable served family style at your table.

We do mostly CS anymore. We like Cosmic Rays for the chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans, although they have other choices too.

Our group is an impossible combo of picky eaters and foodies. The only place we eat in MK is CHH. As one of the foodies, I think it's pretty good.

Keep in mind, you can take the monorail to the MK resorts... so I would suggest you also look at 'Ohana in the Polynesian.

Or, for that matter, you could take the boat to Fort Wilderness and see the Hoop de Do Revu. The food is basic BBQ-- fried chicken, ribs, etc. But the show is a hoot.

Also, as an fyi-- you can find chicken nuggets just about anywhere. And almost all the table service restaurants offer a steak... my meat and potatoes 19 year old son has no trouble finding something anywhere we go.

Every picky eater will eat different things. I would look at the menus to decide.
Our favorites for sit down are Skipper Cantina (great menu and theming) and Liberty Tree Tavern (if we want comfort food).
BoG has been hit or miss.If your kids want to meet the beast, must do dinner, not lunch.

I would not take them to Skippers Canteen, my girl did not like it. I would say the Plaza or CHH would be good for picky eaters.

The Plaza has always been our go-to when we have had larger groups or picky eaters, and everyone has always been able to find something that they have enjoyed.

QS for kids inside MK - Cosmic Rays (My niece thinks this is a "must-do" and she's just a year old than yours and already has defined this as a place she "must-go" each trip!)

For TS for kids CLOSE to MK - Kona at Poly

Skipper's doesn't have a lot non-picky kids choices, IMO (great for adults or teenagers!). Plus, the look of the restaurant isn't super appealing to kids. LTT is the full family style feast at dinner - and I think overpriced for kids. I personally think Casey's Corner is too chaotic to be enjoyable - though most kids like hot dogs.

If you goal is to cater to the children: they are really picky and you don’t want character, I would do CS. We have done every sit down at MK and they all have met the need at the time. We really like Skipper Canteen too. BOG is fun but the children’s menu is a bit more less traditional than some places. Honestly with picky kids in tow I would do Crystal Palace but that is character.
