My youngest has requested we eat breakfast somewhere to get a Mickey Waffle when we go in Dec. Where would you recommend we eat? Did not see any open ADRs in any of the parks the days we are going?

I did find a time for an ADR at Captains Grille on our EPCOT day. Would we be able to park at EPCOT and get into EPCOT to walk to Yacht club for a 8:00 ADR and then walk back into EPCOT or do they only let you into EPCOT early if you have an ADR in the park itself?

Thanks in Advance

You would not be allowed into Epcot before open without an ADR in Epcot. You would need to park at YC for an 8:00 ADR.

If you want to do a character breakfast (with Mickey waffles) I'd suggest the Hilton at Disney Springs on Sundays. $25 adult/$10 kids - great character interactions!

You can get Mickey waffles at a lot of the resort counter service restaurants. Cheaper and quicker.

I would do this. Check menus at food courts .... and pick a resort you'd like to see or check out.

Art of Animation has them and what cool imagineering to walk around and see. Cars is like being in the movie. Entire resort is so cool with great photo opportunity.

You could go to the Contemporary or the Polynesian QS restaurants on an Epcot or MK day and have some yummy Mickey waffles. Take a ride on the monorail from Epcot or MK or walk over to the Contemporary from MK.

I can't blame your son...those Mickey waffles are worth the extra effort to find! :flower:

if you are going during december, I highly recommend the wilderness lodge. It is one of the most beautiful resorts when decorated for christmas and well worth the visit. You should be able to get an ADR at whispering canyon, which has them it on the kid's menu a la carte or all you can eat as part of the skillet... they are often not busy for breakfast (I had no problem getting the time I wanted and pretty much EVERY time was open for my early december trip a few weeks ago).

If you want to get them for a quick service, roaring forks also has them... and they have them for both adults and kids in yummy topped flavors - banana's foster, strawberry and chocolate. It's basically mickey waffle heaven over there. all images from dsiney food blog. of course you can get them plain too.

you could park at the MK for the day during PPO hours and take the boat there and back or drive. If you can happen to grab an ADR at Garden Grill last minute, they are a good in-park breakfast at Epcot and include the all you can eat mickey waffles as well with great character interaction.

But not leave your car at the Contemporary or Polynesian if you didn't pay to valet park. And they might not even let you park there without an ADR.

I could be mistaken, but I think that AoA has character waffles, not Mickey.

Yes, leave your car at Epcot or MK and make your way to the Contemporary or the Poly!

After you eat, hit the park!

Grand Floridian Cafe. We were staying at GF last year and were too lazy to go other places for breakfast. I wasn't thrilled with the offerings so the first of three days that we ate breakfast there I had the big Mickey Waffle with strawberries. It was really good. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; lovely and tasty. I ended up eating them three days in a row. No ADRs any of the three days - not really busy at all.
