Best place to eat on the Boardwalk?

Another vote for Spoodles here!

We ate at Spoodles this past September and we didn't really like it that much. The atmosphere was cool and waiting in the candy shoppe was the best for the children. Check the menu's from allears if you get a chance. It was the most difficult place for my DS(13) to choose from. He was choosing form the adult menu and didn't really like the choices.

We'll be eating at ESPN zone on our MGM park day this time.

stepdisney, the chefs at Spoodles are very accomodating. If you decide to try to eat there again, ask to speak to a chef if nothing on the menu is working for your DS. We had a vegetarian in our group and there wasn't anything on the menu that appealed to her. The chef came to our table and chatted with her to find out what she liked and didn't like, then proceeded to make her the best meal she's ever had! He also told my DS that he would make him a grilled cheese sandwich if nothing on the kids menu worked for him. DS ended up getting mac & cheese, but it was nice to know that they would have made something else for him.

We took the kids to ESPN last summer, it was the most disappointing meal of the trip. The menu is so much smaller than it used to be. I think the best item of the 4 of us was the cucumber salad. The kids loved the atmosphere but were not thrilled with the food. They much preferred Flying Fish and YSH during our trip.

I believe that there is an arcade area in the back. The entire complex is entertaining. There are even TV's in the bathroom stalls!!

TVs in the bathroom stalls?! Man, I'll never get dh to leave then !!!

Spoodles, hands down. VERY family friendly and a lot of fun.

A funny story about the bathroom at ESPN... I had to bring my son to change his diaper... DH went with other son into the other bathroom to go potty... So I watch DH go in first, so I just went into the other bathroom (not taking note of the sign)... I was in there for a couple of minutes when I realized I heard a man's voice (at first I thought it was the TV in the stall)... I looked around and saw a person sitting with their pants around their ankles.... No woman would ever do that.... Then I saw that many of the seats were up (like a man had gone there)... Now I am thinking I am in the Men's room and I need to get out of there... My son was being a bit of a pain and not changing fast enough... My heart was racing... I did not want a man to walk in to find me there.... I rushed out quickly with my son... I looked at the sign when I got out and it was in fact the Ladies Room

Maybe men use the ladies room there??? Maybe women are going in a whole new way??? I don't know.... But it totally freaked me out

By the way... we enjoyed our meal very much and the kids enjoyed watching the numerous TV screens!

How bizarre is that?!? I would've definitely been freaked out as well!!! But, that goes to show that where there's a TV, a man won't be too far behind!
