We are arriving on a Saturday evening and staying at Best Western Park Plus In and Suites. It's our first time staying off property and I'm not sure of good places to eat in the area or how busy things will be on a Saturday night around 7:00PM. I know my options in DTD but am curious about my other options.

I would like something within walking distance, good food, decent priced, and serves beer ;)

Any suggestions??

I really enjoy the MiMis restaurant ! its just a bit up the street from the hotel you are staying at !!

We went in November last year and it wasn't too bad in the evening. Seating area is small, but we were able to get a table without waiting. They had lots of beer on tap my picky DH likes and they even had my favorite hard pineapple cider too. Plus, pizzas were fantastic! Looks like you can order online....but then, no beer!

My hubs is a picky beer drinker too! I am thinking 7:00 may be late enough to beat the dinner rush at a lot of places

Yeah! It's neat because they build the pizza in front of you. Also, they have amazing ice cream cookie sandwiches. Vanilla ice cream and cookies are both made in house. So good!! We got two and shared with our two boys. =)

You're really limiting yourself to just tourist food if you want walking distance. Honestly, I would probably just walk to DTD and eat something there. Trust me, though, if you are willing to drive, Anaheim has a ton of great food.

With kids in car seats, after a long day in heat that we're not used to, driving somewhere would be a PITA. I'm not going on a trip to Anaheim. I'm going to Disneyland. Just another perspective.

You could go to Downtown Anaheim for the Packing House or Center Street Promenade or walk over to the Garden Walk for McCormick & Schmick's, Roy's or Fire & Ice.

I third ( maybe fourth) Pizza Press for sure. It is so good and the portions are great. At our first visit earlier this year they accidentally spilled the pizza onto our table and with a smile , no hesitation got to work on a replacement and sincerely apologized. The service is really great and they are really nice people. Coming from the bay area it's a must stop for us now.

Another vote for Pizza Press. Marri's Italian is good. Don't know if they serve beer. The GardenWalk restaurants have lots of menu choices and beer (Roy's Hawaiian, Cheesecake Factory, CPK, etc.).

We will be in the car all day so don't want to drive anymore plus no beer if we are in the car!! Sounds like Pizza Press is a winner! Doesn't look to pricey and if it's too busy we can get it to go! Thanks for all the advice. Now to figure out if there is an outdoor area at our hotel where we can eat if we get it to go...
