What rest. is the best place to eat inside DLR? Note: When I say best place I mean best food! :)

We were just there yesterday and we ate at Plaza Inn on Main St.

They have very good fried chicken (1 1/2 chicken). We get double mashed, no grean beans (I love green beans, these are bad). My DD11 and I share it. ;)

Another favorite is Pizza Port in TL.
We like the Chicken Fusilli (DD loves this:love:) and the Chinese Chicken Salad. If it's just the 2 of us we get one or the other to share. If we get the pasta many times I will get the small side salad and get the Asian dressing. It's so good!

You asked for DLR so if you want more than just Disneyland here's a few more

DCA
No real favorite inside the park. We keep meaning to try the Cove Bar but haven't yet. The chicken wings sound good.

I'm looking forward to the new Pasta place opening soon. Hopefully it'll be more like Pizza Port than Pizza Omm Mow Mow (which it is replacing)

When we are at DCA we will many times go to White Water Snacks in the GC. Good nachos and chili dog.

DTD
We love Ralph Brennans Jazz Express. Gumbo Ya Ya, Beignets, kid's meals are all good.

Sit down-House of Blues. We use a certificate from restaurants.com for about a 50% savings.

We don't do a lot of table service meals while at DLR so I don't have many rec. for those. Used to love the Pizzetta Salad at Wine Country in DCA but the redid their menu and took it off so we haven't tried it again. I hear it is still good and in good weather sitting outside on the terrace is lovely.

Cafe Orleans in NOS is pretty good. The Pommes Frites are very good!

My favorite place to eat is the ice cream shop on main street, but I'm sure that was not what you were looking fort. I'm not sure I realy like any of the sit down restaurants in Dis, but we ate at BB last week because family wanted to. It was OK. The grilled cheese monte cristo wasn't bad, but the green beans were horrible. We would rather eat in DTD at Tortilla Joes.

Napa Rose, hands down. I have eaten at BB, Club 33, Cove Bar, WCT, Ariel's, Steakhouse 55, and Storyteller's. The best food is coming from Chef Sutton. :)

My family's favorite is Cafe Orleans. Great Monte Cristo sandwich and salmon salad. Also, the pomme frites are to die for (parmesan fries). Great selection of desserts as well. If you have kids, the kid's menu has salmon, mac and cheese, or chicken and pasta.

Our families favorites:

Carnation Cafe for breakfast!

Hungry Bear for counter service!

Cafe Orleans for sit-down!

Celebration BBQ for the best all you can eat, finger licking BBQ!

Ariel's Grotto for WoC Dinner Package!

PCH Grill for dinners at the PPH!

Gibson Girl Ice Cream for snack!

Coke Corner for the best cherry coke!

We love the Plaza Inn, not only for their Character breakfast's, but lunch and dinner too. The Pizza Port is excellent too.

The Dobies like (in no particular order)

..champagne brunch at La Brea Bakery
...dinner at Storytellers
...corn dogs from Corn Dog castle
...soft serve from Catch a Flave
...Burgers at Taste Pilot
...meat on a stick from Bengal Barbeque

Plaza Inn salad. So yummy.
Cafe Orleans. Onion soup. Fries come in second!

Cafe Orleans is always a must do when we go. The Monte Cristo is TO DIE FOR. The beignets are heavenly and the Ratatouille is amazing! You can't go wrong here.

The Bengal Barbeque is another favorite if you don't want anything fancy.

For a quick sweet treat, Pooh's Corner has a little candy shop tucked in the back that always has a great assortment of freshly made sweets - fudge, Tigger tails, cupcakes, chocolates, cookies, etc. It always makes a nice afternoon snack!

Wine Country Trattoria in DCA has some awesome lasagna. However, I haven't been there is a couple years so I can't vouch for if it is still as good as I remember.

Our favorites were Carnation Cafe for the loaded baked potato soup, Cafe Orleans for the Pomme frittes & Monte Cristo, and Blue Bayou for the atmosphere, and the food was really good. Better than I expected after alot of poor reviews!:goodvibes

I have to agree with one of the posters about the Hungry Bear restaurant. That is a can't miss for counterservice (and I understand that they changed their menu).

For overrated, I have to say it is the Blue Bayou for dinner (lunch has the Monte Cristo sandwiches). The selection is limited and it is WAY overpriced.

River belle terrace for pancakes at breakfast. The best! Bengal for everything. Cafe Orleans for pommes frites, Monte cristo, and mint julep. plaza inn has awesome chicken.

DCA - taste pilots for the burger with steak sauce and bleu cheese ( forget what it's called). Ariels for WoC dinner!

Wow, these are great suggestions and making me super hungry at nearly midnight in California:laughing:. I'd better stop reading and go to sleep. Can't wait to try out some of my old favorites when we are there next month!

Cafe Orleans-Monte Cristo Sandwich, Pomme Frites, Crescent City Salmon Salad-Yummy
Blue Bayou-Gumbo and Filet Mignon
Plaza Inn-Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes
Tiki Juice Bar-Dole Whip
Churros!
Anything from the Mainstreet Bakery or Candy Store!!

Gotta agree on the Riverbelle Terrace for b'fast. At least once every trip, DH & I split a breakfast with the scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. I eat the pancakes - he gets the rest. We also split the fruit plate too. It's so nostalgic - a "must do" for us. (we usually go here on an early entry morning, after we've hit all the early morning rides.)

We never eat a sit down breakfast in the parks but we do sometimes grab a cinnamon roll at either the Main Street Bakery in DL or Bakersfield Bakery in DCA.

For sit down meals, we like Carnation Cafe (Baked Potato Soup) and Cafe Orleans (Monte Cristo to share and a house salad). I also really like the food at Ariel's for the WOC package.

For a fast meal, we like The Lucky Fortune Cookery in DCA. Super yummy!
