We’ll be there next week. What are some good places to chill when the crowds get overwhelming? Or when the kids fall asleep in the stroller? Tom Sawyer’s Island? Thanks!

At Epcot anywhere in the world showcase is nice and when we'd go to MK and our daughter would fall asleep we'd hop on the monorail and hear to one of the nearby resorts for one of the lounges.

We have found the Tomorrow Land Terrace a nice place, during off hours. We have been able to find a table my the rail and we can people watch as we sit and relax. We have also found the garden area in the UK area at Epcot. When there is no performance there its quite pretty and relaxing

For Epcot, in addition to the good ideas above, I would add taking a stroll out the International Gateway over to the Boardwalk. Plenty of quiet places there along with a nice ice cream shop for a snack.

I find quiet places in MK a bit harder to find. We enjoy a ride around the park on the train when we want to relax a bit. Or a visit to the Carousel of Progress.

For Epcot, if it's super hot or if it's raining, there is a spot right past the Character Spot in Future World West that is indoors and air conditioned. Electrical plugs are available for charging and if I remember correctly, restrooms are nearby too.

Tables and chairs indoor with cold AC. Bathrooms are also inside. Outlets to charge devices. It's probably my favorite spot to get out the crowd and heat.

Also doesn't hurt that Club Cool is right next door

Agree with the above in Epcot! This was our "secret escape place" not so secret anymore but still nice and usually quiet except during food and wine. We can almost always find a table outside the America quick serve as well.

MK is tricky for us it used to be the walkway between toontown and future world but now its all smoking (which is fine but not for us!).

In addition to the places listed for MK - we have used Hall of Presidents as a family (kids and grandparents sleep) as it is A/C and dark. If the weather allows, there is a lot of seating and charging locations outside the Tangled restrooms in Fantasyland. My favorite is to go to Gaston's for a Le Fou's brew as I like the atmosphere here.

Agree with the above in Epcot. Really wish they would add tables to the Starbucks there - would be nice to take a break and watch the fountains.

Maybe, try the movies in Canada and France in Epcot. You're not alone but you relax and can enjoy an educational video.

MK I would do the Steamboat ride. Again ,you're not alone but you just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I miss those days as insane as that sounds. When at Magic Kingdom, behind the Christmas store it's kind of quiet for stroller nap time...otherwise, walk over to Contemporary hotel and if there's no conventions going on, walk the hallways...dead silence and your kiddos can sleep. The time in strollers goes by fast.

One of our favorite quiet spots at Epcot is the walkway in Canada behind the waterfall. We sleep with a noisemaker, and the waterfall is like a giant sleep machine. At least, that's how it works for us adults :)

But MK? I'm thinking hard about this one, but it's tough. There is a courtyard near the Splash Mountain restrooms that can be quiet. There's a little corner where we sit to eat ice cream in new Fantasy Land between Gaston's and Little Mermaid. But sheesh, there are not any obvious get-away spots at MK. I thought about TS Island, but I don't think strollers are allowed.

MK: Off of Main Street. There is a side street off of Main Street to the right as you walk towards the Castle. There is a dance studio there, if quiet you can hear them practicing. (#14 on the map)
Yes! We sat here for a bit on our recent trip. Forgot about the dance studio, so didn't listen out for it/hear it. It's a pretty little nook off of Main Street.

I used the childcare station in MK once. Mine was pretty small at the time but I was able to sit and rock him so we both got some peace and rested in air conditioning. In Epcot there is an area to the left of mission space that is empty and it was nice to stroll around ( I think this may be a smoker spot though, but it was empty)

Magic Kingdom, the alley on the right side of Main Street near the jewelers, Tomorrowland Terrace, Tortuga (usually the restaurant isn't open, and there is plenty of air conditioned seating inside), under the railroad near Splash Mountain (there is a play area there for the little ones, and it's shaded, and Tom Sawyer Island are my favorites.

Epcot, the Sunshine Seasons food court in the Land pavilion, the breezeway on either Innoventions East, or West (it's cool there, shaded, has benches, and you can often buy a drink from a stand right there) inside the Mexico Pavilion in the shopping village, in the outdoor (shaded) seating area of Norway near the bakery, Japan up near the quick service restaurant, by the waterfalls is lovely, in China along the water gardens, and in UK near the gardens / bandstand are my favorite places.

For Magic Kingdom, Tom Sawyer Island is great to escape the crowds.

I also like grabbing a bite at Columbia Harbour House and getting a table on the 2nd floor in the section right over the Liberty Square walkway to Fantasyland. It's perfect for people watching in some A/C.
