Best place to catch a taxi?

Is there a good, closeby place to catch a taxi from DL? Near the park entrance, or by the hotels? Or DTD? Is there a place where you can pretty much catch one any time of day? Just wondering after reading the reviews about the HOJO recently that if we were really tired, maybe we could could catch one home? What do you think?

Here's the phone # for cabs recommended by the tourist booklet: (714)-535-2211. It's the same one the Disney Hotels use for their guests. I don't know if you can "hail" them like you do in NYC.

Taxi location is located East of the park. It is at Harbor and the main area.

To get there, you must walk East until you hit Harbor, and turn left and you see an area where the taxis are...

I don't know if we were in the wrong place or not but we caught a cab just outside of the shuttle dropoff area. There was a bunch of cabs waiting at the inside of the entrance (where the buses drive in from Harbor). This was after the park closed so maybe they were there for the cast members??? I dunno....

Perhaps this is the area that was mentioned earlier?

You can catch a cab in the front entrance of the Grand Californian Hotel. The cabs line up there and wait for fares - anyone who wants a ride.

The Grand Californian Hotel is right there, so it's not much of a walk. Just enter through the GC DTD entrance, walk to the lobby, then go out the front doors and you'll see the cabs to the left.

As you enter the park on Harbor as showen above in the picture, there is a bus loop and the taxi's are located right there as you enter. You can leave the park at any time and there are ALWAYS taxi's there. I took them many times when I was there and I never ONCE had to call one.
