Hello! We are taking our first trip to WDW the first week of September. I want to know where is the best place/site to purchase tickets. We have a ten year old and a three year old and are not sure how many days to spend at each park? Any suggestions? We are staying off Disney property. Thanks in advance!!

There are several places to get them... I have used "Undercover Tourist".
the price you see is the price you are charged. Taxes are included and shipping is free. Very important to note. Sometimes one company looks cheaper... then when you get to the last page, you see all the taxes and chages for shipping. Someplaces you can pick them up free of charge so that would save you some money.

You can also subscribe( free) to some of the "Mouse" newsletters like
"All Ears" and "Mouse Savers" They can have special codes for you to use to get further discounts.
That should get you started.

You can skim the surface of the parks( espically MK) and do 1 park a day
but most would say you will need at least 5 days. Then there are all the options, to add "Park Hopping" or "no expire" or even "Water Parks and More"

Lots to think about... best thing to do is get lots of ticket pricing from various vendors and lay it out on a spread sheet. That way you can compare
and find the best fit for you.

Being one "child" is now 10 they have to buy the adult ticket so that runs the cost up a few dollars.

Thanks for the info. Of course that brought up one more question. My son is 9 years old. He will turn 10 on the fifth day of our trip. If I buy tickets now, will it be "okay" to buy him a child's ticket?

Yep...it is based off the the age when the ticket was first used! BTW, I second UCT! I researched every place everyone suggested and this one was the best!

If your staying onsite...make sure you tell them when you check in which day is his b-day! They will give him a button and they will deliver balloons to your room with a card signed by his favorite character. It is very cool!

Yeah you can definately get away with that one. He was nine when you bought them. Even if you had a 10 day pass non expiring and went next year.. You would be fine.

Be sure to get him a "Birthday" Button" at City Hall or Guest Relations. He will get LOTS of Birthday Wishes.. and maybe a few suprises.
Do you have a a Birthday Reservation with Character Dining ??? Characters can make a fuss over the Birthday Kid.

I may have missed it in your post, so forgive me if this doesn't need to be addressed, but if you are going this September and ordering from a ticket broker such as Undercover Tourist you may want to do so immediately and pay for faster shipping. They have been inundated with orders recently and it has been taking longer than normal for people to get their tickets as another thread has noted, somtimes up to fifteen days. I used them a couple of weeks ago and they were great! Just a heads up. They are cheaper than the official Disney site and it's great to save money, but not worth it if you don't get your tickets before you leave for your trip. They have great customer service though and you could give them a call before you order too and ask them if they think you would recieve your tickets before you leave for your trip. Of course if you are going in 2008 - no worries.
