What is the best website to buy pins online? I would love to buy some pins for our next trip. Any advice?

I've bought some beautiful Disney pins on ebay. Even a special anniversary pin of the park that has the year i was born on it.

Sometimes i get into themes and will buy pins according to a theme..like i was into collecting pins with the castle on it... then alice in wonderland themed... also peter pan themes.

It's fun to collect a bunch online..then before you go on your next trip... call your kids to the kitchen table.. lay all the pins you have collected out...then everyone look at them... and take turns each picking one.:goodvibes

My DD9 is REALLY into pin trading! Before our trip last year we bought her 20 pins for $40 on e-bay (that makes it $2 a pin!) The pins were not very good at all, but we didn't care because we were buying them for her to trade(they were all Disney).

EBAY! We always buy about 10 pins for each girl before our trips and they come out to about $2 each, then they trade them away for usually really good ones!

You can find lots of pins on eBay, just make sure the seller is a reputable seller and that you are buying official Disney pins or they are not tradeable in the parks - if you are buying them to trade. Look to see that they have a 100% guarantee and do not include Sedesma or Pro Pins. A good price for a trader pin is usually $2.00-$2.50 or so. If you see pins for significantly less than that, they will most probably not be Disney pins.

I will totally agree with Ebay!!! 100% Loads of pins on there for decent prices. Ive bought several off there.

Does anyone have a seller they trust on ebay. Got fakes the last time. Thanks!

I do, PM me and I will send you my ebay list. :) It will be later though, I'm about to head out for lunch. :)

ProPins are OK to trade with CM's but not in the books and many "traders" won't take them. I will but I'm not your "normal" trader. LOL Or so I've been told. :) Anyway, I've got my ebay list and I buy from mousepinsonline .com as well.

Ok, never mind the PM, I am PMing you right now...LOL

I ordered some grab bags from mousepinsonline.com for my kids to use as trading fodder when we went to DL. the price was pretty reasonable ($1.75/each pin) and they have different size bags to choose from. Real fast shipping (they showed up in like 3-4 days!) The only down side is you don't know what you are getting, but if you just want a bulk amount of pins it works out pretty good.

And they were all legitimate, Disney, real deal pins?

Being ever so new to this...what is the deal with pins and trading, do you carry them all round and swap any duplicates you have, or do you try to get a set? who can you swap with? Is it fun?

The grab bags from mousepinsonline can/do include Pro Pins, so are not tradeable pins - which is okay if you collect them..... I know other people have their own opinions, but personally, if I spend the time to make sure I am bringing in the real deal, I expect the real deal in return.

Pin trading is very popular in the parks. You purchase Disney pins which you can wear on a lanyard or just carry with you (I carry them in my bag as I don't want to lose any). If you see someone wearing pins you can ask if they're interested in trading. If you both have something you want to trade you can, but there's no obligation.

I trade only with the CM's. CM's are required to trade with guests as long as they don't already have the pin you want to trade for and you trade for no more than two pins per CM. The pins belong to Disney, not the CM personally so don't feel bad about asking to trade.

It is fun to trade as it sometimes is like a treasure hunt. I tend to have certain characters I'm looking for so I stop the CM's, ask if I can see their pins and see if I find anything I really want. You never know what you might find!

I had no trouble trading the pro pins i got from mousepinsonline at all. I may get a small bag for next trip.............we did trade ALL the ones we got from there 15 in all.

all pins from mousepinsonilne are tradebule have never been told no even pro pins.

i have used them 3times they were always fast and good pins all work

Pro Pins ARE tradeable with CM's wearing lanyards. They are NOT tradeable in the books or with some traders. As I said in my pp. :) You shouldn't let that stop you buying them if they are within your budget. I've received many pins from Gary (mousepins) and I've been satisfied with them all. I have more trouble trading disney store pins than pins from Gary. :)

Pin trading is a hobby that many of us have. We wear our pins on lanyards and DBF carries a book, we trade with CM's and individuals.
