Best place to activate FL Resident Tickets

I'm dragging my by Disney-averse husband into EPCOT for a day with me and the kids on our arrival day to WDW so he has something to do until our cabin is ready for check-in at Fort Wilderness (he will spend most of the rest of the 4 day trip out of the parks where he will hopefully be happier). He is not a fan of all of the lines, crowds, or waiting at Disney, so I'm trying to make everything as painless as possible for him.

I'm going to need to activate his FL resident ticket and show ID (I wasn't smart enough at the time to make him his own MDX account to buy his ticket and verify online). What do you think is a faster option- visiting a ticket window or Guest Relations? I have always ended up at Guest Relations at various parks in the past and sometimes that line is SLOW. One time I think we spent 45-60 minutes there. Just wondering if we can do it at a ticket window if that might be faster. Anyone have any experience to share? I haven't been to Disney in about 2 years, so just wondering about "current" situations.

Also, the credit card I used to buy tickets has since been stolen and we will have a new card. Is that going to be a problem? I have email confirmations and everything is linked in MDX.

First off, there is a Guest Relations window at Ft. Wilderness' Pioneer Hall.
Otherwise, a nice boat ride to the MK gates will offer a couple of Guest Relations windows there, too.

1. Varies all the time. Just look at the lines (if any) when you approach the booths.**
2. You can certainly do so. Just make the decision as you approach at that time.
3. Nope.
4. You'll be just fine.

**I recommend that EACH of you get into different lines and keep an eye on each other. If YOU happen to be in a line that runs faster, he can just pop over to your line as you reach the window and activate his AP.

I don't know your timing, but often, if you go to a ticket booth or Guest Relations at a point in the afternoon or evening, there may be fewer guests in line.

I agree with Robo, just go to the window with the shortest line. If you are arriving at Epcot more than an hour after opening, there probably won’t be lines at either. I have to go to one or the other to activate my AP renewal I bought at AAA, and the times I have done this, it’s really been 50/50 between ticket windows and guest relations. There is no difference in your actual activation at either one.

If you are arriving at FW in the morning, well before Epcot opens, then I would just do it at FW. Right now, Epcot is the last park opening each day (which could change any time, of course) so it could be that the resort window is the best choice.
