Hey - just wondering where is the best place to stop for lunch within IOA or USO? We don't want to leave to go to Citywalk, so would like some recommendations....He's never been, and when I go, I just usually get something quick and, uhm, unhealthy. Also, I remember getting happy hour somewhere in IOA (in the Lost Continent) - anyone know the name, and what hours Happy Hour usually are? Is there happy hour in USO?

My recommendations are as follows:

IOA:
The Enchanted Oak
Thunder Falls Terrace
The Burger Digs

Studios:
Louie's
Finnegan's
Mel's

The Alchemy Bar at IOA has happy hour. Its in the same "tree" as The Enchanted Oak.

As for lunch, I suggest Mythos at IOA and Finnegan's at US.

MYTHOS is the best restaurant in ANY park.

Backwater Bar at Confisco's also has a happy hour but stop in and check the times

MYTHOS for a great sit down lunch:cool2:

Add me to the Mythos and Finnegans recommendations.

That's easy......Mythos!!!

It's opposite Poseidon's Fury in The Lost Continent section of IOA and is argueably the best theme park restaurant I have ever eaten at and it won't totally kill the budget either.

Enjoy!

thank you everyone for your suggestions! Looks like Finnegans and Mythos it will have to be!

Thank you again!

Yes, they are generally 3-5 (or maybe they're 4-6 now?), but in our humble opinion, Happy Hour in the parks hasn't been good in over a year. HH is only $1 off Bud or Bud Lite pints (no other beers, and that still puts them at about $3.50 each, which isn't terrible, but not as good as NBA City). There are also well drink specials, but I'm sorry I can't help you as to what they are.

I think different bars in the park used to have different specials and different times, but they've streamlined it now, and most of the bars we checked out had the same specials. We don't bother with HH in the parks any more. We hate Bud, and I don't like to start with well drinks so early. If I'm going to have a mixed drink, I'll have a perfect margarita, straight up, no salt at Margaritaville. One is totally my limit on those. BTW, the perfect margarita is not on their menu. Just ask for it, and all the bartenders know how to make it. Just don't go and ask for it frozen like our friend did. ;)

3.50 for a beer isn't bad cause at the hotel we stayed offsite it was 5.50:scared1: and I about fell over but then agian thats only goes to show you how long its been since I had a drink:lmao:

NBA City has the larger beers for $2 though, and you have your choice of Coors Lite, Miller Lite, or Yuengling!

I forgot they have Yuengling there, was it Yuengling lager??? Ya know, I only live about 20 miles from the main Yuengling brewery in Pottsville PA. But I think they have one in Florida now?
