Best place from which to watch Illuminations please!

Hiya All,

We will be in Epcot all day on 4th July as we adore the special Illuminations and we have only seen it once (we've been in July twice but the second time (98) they cancelled the fireworks due to the terrible forest fires FL had been suffering from...)

Anyways, we'd love to get some inside tips on where it is best to sit to see the whole show.

I like the bridge near France. I believe a lot of people like to get an 8:00 seating at Rose and Crown and ask for an outside table for a great view. I haven't done that yet.

We had good luck right behind the shop at the entrance to the World Showcase nearest Canada. We were right up next to the handicapped area and we were able to sit on the ground and had a great view.

We always enjoy the waterside tables at the Mexican Cantina.

We also like the waterside seats in Mexico. Last time we visited Epcot we went down a trail behind Harry Tamsden (Fish and Chips place) in United Kingdom. We had a bench right on the water....great seats the only problem was the wind was blowing in our direction and we got alot of the smoke, but if the wind in not blowing that way, they are great seats.

We got very lucky and got a spot in the reserved section just outside of Italy. My sister is little, so we asked if we could get into the area (it was roped off) so she could see. Well, the CM was very nice and led us right to the front, where we had a perfect view of Illuminations. jUst be sure to show up 30 min. before Illuminations starts, and hopefully you will get in.

We will be in Epcot on the 4th too . We usually stake out a spot in Norway near the Troll

Check the wind direction before choosing a spot or you will have a nice view of "smoke" . If you arrive early enough there are "good"spots around the lagoon. We've watched from the Mexico cantina, the Rose & Crown Pub (dinner on our anniversary); the International Gateway bridge and the boat dock at Italy.
