I called my Chicago area AAA on Monday and they quoted me 2day/1pk $117 or 3day/2park $149 so yes, your deal is awesome. Jump on it with both feet.

Wow, it's less expensive to just buy them online.

Called our closest AAA and they have the 7-day passes for $119. Now for our AAA "region", they are $169 online. The $119 is the cheapest I've found.

My SIL in Knoxville just called, she found tickets at the Kroger in West Knoxville - Kingston Pike. They did validate at the register.

I live in West Knoxville and was wondering which West Knox Kroger your SIL visited to get the "gift card" passes (and when exactly) because most all are on Kingston Pike? I had no luck at North Shore & Farragut. I DID find them at the "Home Depot" Kroger (???Marketplace???), but when I went to the register, the cards wouldn't validate. After several attempts, the guy looked down and found a whole stack of un-purchased cards beside the register -- presumably left by others who wanted to purchase but were also not "allowed."

I am surprised to hear this because previous posts here had indicated that Universal did a systemic expiration of all unpurchased discount cards. People were being told at the register that the cards could not be activated. Sounds like you might have beaten the system.

Express passes are purchased separately. They aren't combined with your ticket. If you stay onsite, your room key is your express pass.

I found the old 7 day tickets at a nearby AAA and they are $139 ea. She said when the new 7 day tickets come in they will be $169 and the 2 day will be $129.

You're lucky then! I'm getting quoted $139 for the old 7 day, 2 park ticket. She said once they are gone the new 7 day, 2 park ticket will be $169. Looks like I'll be buying the $139 tickets...

As an aside, the banner I see on top of this forum advertises a 1-day 2 park ticket with transportation from WDW for $110, that's a 30% increase and you get nothing to show for it since there isn't anything open today that wasn't open when it was $85. What a deal, eh?

Ok here is my two cents worth..... (and alot of Wishfull thinking since im going March 28th thru April 4th.) My educated guess is that since they have raised prices that they wouldn't raise prices if they weren't shooting for a March/early April soft opening. Does that mean i have someone on the inside. nope im just someone that really reallly wants them to have some of Harry Potter land open when i go....
