I've never been to WDW before & we are going to have time to do table service at MGM so,

What is the best place for table service at MGM? Do you recommend to go with one of the Fanastmic Dinner Packages or is it not worth it?

Thanks for your help!

The worth of the Fantasmic package is, IMHO, based primarily on what time of year you are visiting WDW and if you like the restaurants that participate in the package.

If you are going off season, I think you can see the show without the package and get great, if not better, seats on your own. You can enter at about 1 hour before and get wonderful seats.

If you are going off season and don't do the package, then you can eat anywhere you want to. I'd prefer to eat at either 50's Prime Time or Sci-Fi rather than the 3 choices of restaurants that participate in the Fantasmic package (H&V, MM, or Brown Derby).

We always go in July when it's very busy, so last year we got the package at Mama Melrose. The food there was good, so we're returning there this year again. If we were going in a slow time, we probably wouldn't get the package, but in a busy season, getting the package allows you to not have to wait for 90 minutes or more before the show starts. Another perk of the package is that you're actually closer to the exits at the end of the show, so you can get a jump on the crowds exiting the park.

Not in my experience. At a certain point (after you get your stroller I believe) you are combined with the rest of the crowd and sent a different way than how you entered with the package. They make you go a much longer way when exiting the show. You pass all the shops and take a couple of turns. It's unreal.
