Not an easy commute from MK (well, you could take a resort bus from the MK), but Captain's Grille (not Yachtman's steak house, that is 2 credits) at the Yacht Club resort and Trattoria al Forno at the BoardWalk resort (t-bone steak florentine).

You can get the prime rib at BoatWrights for single TS credit.

We are going to give The Wave a try. The filet on the menu has gotten some good reviews. We had filet dinners at Maya Grill last year and they were great, but were removed from their menu in the spring.

We are a filet family so are going to also try Chef de France too. Hopefully both will be good.

Kona Cafe at the Poly - a quick monorail ride from MK - had a great strip steak last Fall. I have ressies to do it again this Fall. I have heard good things about BOG dinner for steak and also Sanaa and have ressies to try both this Fall. When I was at the Coral Reef in Epcot last Fall, the ladies at the table cheek to cheek with me both had the steak and it looked very good. Thick cut and cooked to a nice med-rare. They told me it was wonderful. I haven't tried the steak at Coral Reef myself (always get the Mahi-Mahi) so can't vouch for it personally. I know the reviews are mixed and sadly it isn't always prepared consistently well. ps these are all strip steaks. I would love to know of a WDW 1 credit restaurant that serves a steak other than a strip. A PP mentioned the prime rib at Boatwrights at Port Orleans Resort. I've also heard good things about it but have not tried it since I can cook a nice prime rib at home.

We have a lot of steak lovers in our family and only do 1 TS meals - some of our favorites over the years have included Mama Melrose's and Grand Floridian.

Best steak for us is at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's our favorite 1TS steak for sure! So tender and always cooked exactly how we like it. Bonus - right near MK. Oh and they have my favorite burger in all of WDW too. It has lobster on it and is very juicy and fresh.

We have enjoyed good steaks at Captains Grille, Be Our Guest, Planet Hollywood, The Wave (it was excellent), Coral Reef, House of Blues, to name a few.

I know not everyone may agree, but the steak dinner at BOG was fantastic! It is really hard for me not to have it again in November, since I want to try something different. But it really surprised all of us! Also, Grand Floridian Cafe is another good suggestion- this place is a hidden gem!

DH still talks about the steak from Mama Melrose. Whenever we start talking about another trip and dining, he always mentions it, says it was the best steak he's ever had at WDW so far.

As mentioned by the pp, the best steak I have ever eaten at Disney is the butcher steak at Mama Melrose. If possible, try to reserve with the Fantasmic Dinner Package even if you don't care about seeing Fantasmic. It only takes 1 credit and allows you an appetizer, entree, small dessert sampler and a drink. When we went in June of this year our server told us the flatbreads are now considered an appetizer. They were excellent, also.
