We always do a character meal where we can see Mickey and one where we can see Princesses. I have yet to find one with good food. I also hate to pay adult buffet price for my just turned 12 year old who eats very little and my 5 yr. old practically eats nothing. Where is the best place for Mickey and character interaction without having to stand in looooong lines in the heat?

To keep you on first page,I'm sure a Diser will be able to help you with your question.::yes:: :wave2:

I would say Chef Mickeys at the Contempory Resort. We went and it was a blast. Chip and Dale came over, Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, and my DW claims to have seen Minnie, but I didn't see here. Yes it is a buffet, but each character comes to your table. Goofy jams around and so does Mickey. And nothing beats a very early start with the Magic Kingdom like some Mickey waffles. MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Very well priced and you get your picture taken as soon as you get there. It is a blast. Make sure if you go at a busy time to get a priority seating for it. You will not regret this.

A great place to see Mickey (outside of a character meal) is at MGM on Mickey Ave.
He's in the buliding right next to WWTBAM and I"ve never seen a line there.
I have some great pics of my kids with Sorcerer Mickey taken there and noone else around.

The Judge's Tent in Toon Town and the que for it are inside and air conditioned!

The Judges Tent is at the end of the pathway that goes through Mickey's House. If you get there toward the end of the day, often times there are no lines.

I'd have to 2nd the recommendation for the Mickey Ave at MGM. It's Sorcerer Mickey too - which is kind of neat! It's also inside - so even if there is a line, you get to stand in the air conditioning! (And the line moves much faster than the one in Toon Town) The daily guide map will also tell you which times that Mickey is there so you can plan a little better.

If you are looking for a dining experience with Mickey - I suggest the Garden Grill at Epcot. They have Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale and the entire restaurant revolves while you are eating. It's family style food - which means it's a buffet where they bring you whatever you want! Much better than having to get up and get it & you know when they bring you the food it's hot & fresh. I think it is one of the better value meals at WDW also, b/c we are always stuffed when we leave & it's not an incredible amount more than counter service! (And if you go at lunch time, I think it may be even less!)

Good luck - it's always great to see the Mouse!

Another vote here for MGM. Last time we were there, there was a CM outside the room where Sorcerer Mickey was. She was trying her hardest to get guests in to see Mickey with little success. So Sorcerer Mickey was in there completely alone. Anyone could have walked in and had an exclusive session to take all the photos they wanted.

I vote for MGM if you want the least amount of free wait, although when we are there with our DS8 we always eat at Chef Mickey's. We like the food there, and there are more charactors there than at any other dining establishment. They come right to your table, and the celebration song they play about every 45 minutes is fun for everyone! We will be back there on July 4, and can't wait!

I 4th the MGM on Mickey Ave!!!! When we were there last September, there was NO ONE in the room with him. We just walked straight in. And because no one was there, Mickey spent a lot more time interacting with us. After we took a picture with Mickey (me and DH), Mickey let go of DH and wouldn't let go of me! I leaned over and acted like he kissed me and then when I would try to walk off, he still wouldn't let go and would pull me back. It was so funny. We laughed until we cried over that. It would be a great place for your kids to get some one on one time with Mickey. If you go really early in the morning, everyone else will be headed to TOT and RnRc and you may have him all to your self!
