Best place for late night drink?

I've read that a great place to have a late night aperatif, particularly a glass of port or wine is Mizner's at GF. My NON-Disney Hubby (I know, it's a shame), really isn't into the parks, so I'm looking for a few "after hours" places to go that aren't at PI. We'll be at OKW and friends will be there at the same time, so couples may want to go out.

Thanks for any advise.

Mizner's is a really nice romantic bar & lounge but it's only open until midnight. If quiet is what you want, that is the place. If you go to the BW you will find ESPN bar, Jelly Rolls, Atlantic dance and Kimonos at the Swan all great late night places, open until 1am & 2am.

I also have a very NON-Disney hubby (definitely a sad thing). I know you said not PI, but he went to the Adventurer's Club on our last trip (1997) and still talks about it - of course he calls it the Explorer's Club and can't remember the word Kongaloosh but I know what he means! I would definitely suggest you take him there.

Our next trip is 22 days away and I too am trying to plan some of these sorts of adventures. Mizner's is on my list - part of a monorail happy hour sort of event. I too look forward to more ideas.

I also suggest the Boardwalk. There is a brewery there (big rivver grille) that is a restaurant/brewery. They have some nice microbrews and the menu isn't bad. We love going there after Illuminations and have a drink and a snack at the outside tables. They have some entertainment on the Boardwalk evenings (not too late though) and ESPN is open late.

Have fun!

My wife and I have enjoyed getting a drink to go from one of the BW bars and then finding a quiet place to sit over by the Yacht or Beach club and just stare at all the bright twinkling lights from across the water. You can hear some of the hustle and bustle from the BW wafting through the air and listen to the water lapping up on the shores. Very soothing after a long full day in the parks.

Mizner's is very nice. Another spot I like is the Crew's Cup lounge at the Yacht Club Resort.

I'd also vote for the Boardwalk for a nice evening and drinks. There's lots going on there, so sitting outside at Big River Grille with drinks can be both relaxing and entertaining. The Boardwalk is also a great place just to stroll around and enjoy the climate and the atmosphere. Good luck! :D

I'll second UR, Mizners and Crews Cup. One thing about Mizners, it's a cigar bar, and though the smoke has never been bad at all, it is there.

The Bellevue Room at the BWI is very nice, intimate with board games and a great verandah for people watching.

One other place I'd like to point out it Victoria Falls at the AKL, what an atmosphere!

On our trip in February, I dragged my Husband to Jellyrolls. I've wanted to go on our last 3 trips and he wouldn't. He Loved It! I heard from folks he works with that that was all he talked about. Lots of fun, but noisy - not intimate at all. We stayed much later than we should have :o The Crew's Cup Lounge also looks wonderful, another place I wanted to visit - seems very intimate and quiet, but we didn't fit it in! Have Fun Wherever.

BUMP!

...and it doesn't necessarily have to be a quiet place -- could be a loud, but fun place!

I don't know if you're interested in going to the different resorts, but we really enjoy having a late night drink in a bar in the Grand Floridian.....so sorry, I cannot remember the name of the place.

Hopefully, some other DIS'ers will know what I'm talking about.

It'a a super comfortable bar on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the Grand Floridian, and they have a piano & some other instruments situated right outside.

We were lucky enough to get a window seat and watch the Electric Light Pageant go by.

Afterwards, we strolled down to the beach. Romantic :p !

There's also the ESPN club! It can definitely be loud there, but we had a blast watching the Flyers play. Your hubby may really enjoy the non-Disney atmosphere here.
