Best place for dinner at DTD??

Are you wanting a CS meal or a TS meal? For CS, I think that Wolfgang Puck Express is once of the best deals in all of WDW to use CS credits. Plus, the food is fabulous. I haven't had TS meal in DTD for awhile, so I will leave others to reply to you if you are wanting a TS meal.

My family loves Planet Hollywood. My wife and I usually order the New York Strip Steak dinner, while our teenage kids go nuts for the St.Louis style BBQ Pork Ribs. The portions are fairly big, especially the ribs. The atmosphere can be a little loud, but it's fun and exciting.


We plan on going back to Planet Hollywood for sure in September.

My family has eaten at Captian Jacks twice now and enjoyed it both times. They only have a few options on the menu so definately check it out before but they were all good. Its right on the water so the atmosphere is very nice.
The atmosphere at Rain Forest Cafe is great but I didn't really like the food. We went for lunch so I'm not sure if they have different choices for dinner. Some of the food was kind of strange?

Planet Hollywood is a hit with our kids ( food is pretty good, nothing great but not bad either) atmosphere is loud and very "busy" but the kids love it.

Wolfgamg Puck we also enjoy.


Earl of Sandwich, Cookes of Dublin, Raglan Road, and Capn Jacks are also on the DDP as well.

IMO if your wanting a DDP TS meal, you can't go wrong with PH or WPC. but you will get 400 differing opinons about any restaurant on Disney property honestly.

Totally agree! With or without the Dining Plan, Wolfgang Puck Express is one of the BEST places to eat on property!!! Although it's a CS, it beats most TS restaurants at Downtown Disney. We've eaten at just about all of the DDP restaurants there and would choose WPE over most of them anyday. The food is amazing and they have a great selection, something for everyone...as a matter of fact, one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had was from WPE...love the food!

Another vote for WP Cafe . His is the only beef based meatloaf
I'll eat. If you go check out the chocolate lava cake for dessert. The DH enjoys the pasta dishes.
We used to go to Capt. Jack but the menu was limited last fall so we didn't eat there this last trip

I love Wolfgang Puck Express for CS!
But I hate Wolfgang Puck cafe for TS.

We ate at wolfgang puck express and it was yummy! Loved the pizza and mac and cheese.....but thought I would die later that night with heartburn! lol.
Also, Planet Hollywood was great! The food was delicious there!

I have only ever done TS restaurants at DTD, so that's really all I can tell you about. Both Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Raglan Road are on the DDP. They are both very good.

We Have eaten at Raglan Road 3 times and it was excellent every time. Love the atmosphere, decor, food, beer and whiskey flights, desserts, appetizers...all wonderful. The live entertainment they have at night is very good also. Our DD loves the step dancer that comes out anout every 15 minutes. This place is just a lot of fun.

Wolfgang Puck we have only eaten at 1 time, but it was very good. The portions are big-like Rainforest Cafe size and they have a fairly extensive menu. Everyone got an appetizer on the deluxe dining plan and they were pretty huge. Everyone liked their entrees. I was too full for dessert. I think I got the cheesecake and gave it to my DD who was a only entitled to a kids dessert, my boys were "adults". She loves cheesecake of any kind and happily ate this one.

I would not hesitate to eat at either of these places. In fact, DH and I are talking about our next trip with the kids and are thinking about doing BOTH Wolfgang Puck and Raglan Road again during that trip.

We had no problems using the dining plan at either place.
