Any park!!!

I would like to hear what everyone thinks would be the best place to have a dinner and watch the fireworks.

Thanks

We have never been to the CG but we love 'Ohana at the Poly. We love the food and always request a window seat in the main dining room. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. We were there in May and Wishes was not until 10:00. We had already finished dinner so we walked around the Poly for a while, shopped and got a great cup of Kona coffee to go. We went down to the beach to watch Wishes. There were no lounge chairs so we just sat on the sand. Right before it started, a couple got up and offered us their lounge chairs, they said they had seen it many times before and were not staying. As this was the night before my birthday it made watching Wishes really special.

well I just made reservations for CG in Sept., so hopefully I will like it :confused3

Thanks everyone

I am trying to decide whether to eat at Poly or GF on fireworks night. Can you see the fireworks from the GF beach as well as you do from the Poly beach?

At the GF, you have to watch from the marina area - the beach faces the Poly.

it was CG until I did it this past week at CRT! Dinner and Wishes in the castle...unbelievable! :goodvibes

To Sazzo'sMommy - I always wondered about this. How do you see the fireworks from inside? Do you have to have a window table? If you do not have a window table, does everyone go over to the windows when Wishes starts? Since the restaurant faces the back of the castle (and most of the fireworks are UP) how do you see them? Can you see Tink fly? We had lunch there this past May and had a wonderful window table facing Cindy's carousel. I cannot imagine how you would see the fireworks.

Several questions about watching Wishes from the beach near Ohana:

Can you hear the music on the Beach near Ohana's?

What is the view like from the beach there? Is CG really that much better? Would watching from inside the MK be better than the view from the beach?

Can you see the lighted boat parade (not sure exactly what it's called) from that same beach?

Thanks for your help with all of the questions!

I'm interested in the answers to these questions, too!

Yes, you can hear the music from the beach - there is a certain area right where you come down from the Poly where the music is piped in. We were down the beach a ways from this area but we were actually able to her it very low from the MK.

As far as the view from the beach, you are directly across from the castle so even though it is a distance away, the view is very good. Although my favorite place to watch is inside the park it is great to see it from a distance, you can really appreciate it as a whole.

We have never watched it from CG so I cannot say about the view there. You are much closer to the MK so I would imagine the view would be good.
Last October we also watched it from the Contemporary on the 4th floor outside deck area. This area was ok. It got very crowded and noisy and you could not hear the music. Also, you were not directly across from the castle so the fireworks were not behind the castle but kind of next to the castle. Also, this outside deck area looks over the parking lot of the Contemporary and you lose something of the specialness of it. One cool thing is you are directly under where the monorail comes into the hotel and it is cool to look straight up and see the monorail.

Yes, you can see the Electric Water Pagent from the beach at the Poly.

Thanks so much for your detailed answers! We are going to make a PS at Ohana's and hope to see Wishes and the Electric Water Pagaent after we've finished eating. Thanks again!

As you can tell, this is our favorite place. We always make sure we eat there at least once a trip. I really hope you enjoy it. Make sure to ask for a window table in the main dining room.
