Ok. I know we are crazy but, there will be 6 adults and 8 kids. What are the best restaurants for that large of a group? :grouphug:

WCC at WL! We took our 14 year old there on the first night and he had so much fun! He ended up on the Canyon Jail because he didn't want to wear the straw hat in the parade! The restaurant is a hoot!

(Whispering Canyon Cafe @ Wilderness Lodge)

We had 14 last year and we had a great time at Chef Mickey's and Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club. We also did Mama Melrose in MGM, but there was 11 that time. Each time we were seated at one long table (several small tables pushed together. I advise to make your ADR's early as they don't seem to save lots of spaces available for large parties.

Have fun

When I called they put me through to a group dining specialist and we had not problem getting a table for 15 at Ohana. :thumbsup2

It is a really fun place to eat with a nice view of the lake and Cinderella's castle.

If you time it right you can even watch the fireworks from the restaurant or the beach at the Poly.

It is family style and they bring the food on 3 foot skewers...All you can eat grilled pork,Turkey & steak.... You get Shrimp appetizers since they took away the grilled shrimp. I actually have not had the new menu yet,but I am still looking forward to it. We loved the old menu. The dessert has changed to a yummy bread pudding. :cloud9: Can't wait to try it...

They had a Hawaiian singer and fun games for the kids like coconut races and hool a hoop. He have always had a blast at Ohana and go there every trip to WDW>

Happy planning! :thumbsup2

We made ADR's for 15 at Chef Mickey's and O'hana's, but were not guaranteed to have 1 table. Has anyone else been split up?

When I did our Grand Gathering for 13 a couple of years ago I booked all of our group meals through the Group Dining. My understanding is that, if you want to be seated together then you should go through Group Dining; if you use the regular Dining to make your ADRs they cannot guarantee that you will be together. It seems like the magic number is 12--I think if your group is larger than 12 then you need to use Group Dining. With that said, we ate at Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and had a blast :thumbsup2 'Ohana and Whispering Canyon Cafe seem like great places for big groups, too.

We have a party of nine for our GG in August. :cool1:
I read a zillion reviews and a zillion menus. :surfweb: I spent many nights tossing and turning, wondering if I made the right choices for our party (ages 2 to well, hmmm, nevermind :rotfl: )
It will be a first time at every place for all of us! I tried to balance menus with atmosphere and variety. Hey, it's all about makin' memories! :wizard: Here are our ADRs-hope this helps! :goodvibes

Dinner at CRT
Dinner at Whispering Canyon
Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Dinner at LeCellier
Dinner at 'Ohanas

Actually if you try to book for over 8 they'll tell you to call Group Dining. I would suggest Ohana. It's a really fun place and seemed to be geared toward large groups. Our family loved it. We're doing a big family dinner there in Oct when we go for our extended family trip.

Ohana's and Whisperin Canyon!! :thumbsup2 We had 19 and both were fantastic. My 4 year old grandson calles WC that crazy restaurant. We had a blast and our waiters at both places were great!!! :cool1:

Thank you all so much!! :sunny: This is our first trip and I just want to make it as special as I can!! Thanks again!!!

We had a party of 11 last August. They made all our ADR's through the normal wdw-dine number. No group ressies were ever suggested. We had great luck at Le Cellier, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickey's and at Tony's Town Square. We were seated at 1 table at all of these. :thumbsup2

They let me know when I made the ADR's whether they would be able to accomodate us together or not. The only place we needed 2 tables was in the Mexican Pavilion.
