Best Pin Places at MK and MGM

We've just planned to go to WDW for 3 days in Feb. to celebrate my DD and my birthdays. This is the first trip we've made since starting to collect pins. Where are the best places to look for pins at MK or MGM? Anything else I should know? I've heard of the pin meets at Contemporary and Poly. We're staying at the Poly and I think the pin meet is on Sat. but don't know what time. This is my DD birthday, but if the timing worked out we could come for a little while. Thank you!

I've never really found a place where pin collectors congregate in MK.
In MGM it's normally under the big Sorcerer's Hat.
EPCOT has Pin Central which is THE place to trade pins.
Watch out for World of Disney as those are shark infested waters.
The Poly meet starts about 7 in the downstairs lobby on Sat.
The Contemp meet is on the 4th floor concourse near the pin station on Friday nights.

Your best bet at the MK is in Exposition Hall during and /or after Scoop's pin seminar. He usually give this very interesting, informative and entertaining seminar around 1:00. He is usualy off on Fri. and Sat. but you can ask around and I'm sure the CMs in the area will know if he's around.

Go to Fort Wilderness and go to NHMickeys old parking spot. Dig around the ground a bit and you're sure to fine a few LE's: p

For your DD birthday best bet is to bring her to the MK, go to guess services and they will give her a special birthday button, and a very special phone call from (well let it be a surprise).

Then go to Scoop's pin seminar it starts at 1:00pm let Scoop know its her birthday then just step back and enjoy the show, other than myself, I don't think there's anybody else on Disney property that loves to brighten a child's face up like Scoop does.

Then bring her to Contemporary its our turn to spoil her, she will leave with no less than 15 pins guaranteed.

Thanks for all of your help! I've even managed to convince DH to go to Epcot so I can go by Pin Central!!! What time does the Poly meet usually go on until? We have dinner res at MK for DD's birthday, but would like to at least stop by the meet on 2/9. I intend to get her the button at MK (thanks for the info!). We'll also try to make Scoop's seminar. Are there usually a lot of people there? Thanks again for all of your help!

there are some scheduled pin meet. Ed, Donna, Janice, Roy, Malcolm, Lauree, Gary and I start both pin meets at 7:00 p.m. near the pin cart. Once you get that close it is obvious who and where we are. Just tell security that you are going to the pin meet.
