Best photography

Ok my next big question!!

I'm looking for outside photography... after spending way too many hours then I care to admit looking at Disney wedding pictures today I have decided that DFTW photos are a bit inconsistent.

Any recommendations? I would love someone that is fun and easy to get along with... don't necessarily want to spend an arm and a leg but photos definitely rate high on my weddings "musts".

We used Randy, he is a lovely man and very reasonably priced.

I also used randy. We used I'm on a few shoots since our wedding and our time with him is always fun.

You can't beat his photos. Just gorgeous, special moments captured.

If you want samples from some of the more popular photographers in the Disney Weddings circle, I suggest heading over to magicaldayweddings.com and browsing their posts - you may find inspiration for other aspects of your wedding this way as well. (For what it's worth, we're using The Roots!)

That being said, I have seen plenty of gorgeous Disney wedding pictures from photographers who have never shot a Disney wedding before. Don't feel like you have to pick one of the "most popular" photographers if you don't feel their styles clicking with what you're looking for. Use The Knot's vendor pages for the Florida area, or even other parts of the country if you can find someone you like who won't charge extra for travel.

I cannot rave enough about David and Vicki Arndt Photography!! They really are the sweetest people I think I've ever met. They were professional, yet fun and relaxed during our engagement shoot. I cannot wait to see them again for my wedding this September.

They have affordable pricing and amazing quality to their photos! I have a few pictures from our engagement shoot under my PJ here on the boards if you'd like to check them out!

I opted for Jesse Giles Photography. She is suggested on The Knot and her prices are good. I think photography is really subjective.

She is charging me 850$ for 7hour-package with 1 photographer and a CD with retouched pictures and picture release.

Same price for 6hours with engagement photo session but we are from out-of-town so she compensated for 1hour at the wedding.

Her website is simple but I got a friend who is Artistic Director and made him take a look at the pics and he says that you rather have a good photographer and think of the retouching later. If the original picture is good (spacing, framing, etc), all sorts of retouching can be done after.
He took a look at some other photographers and he told me that a lot ruin their pictures by over exposing whites... it looks nice, but this look can be achieved by retouching the pictures...

Another photographer who I liked in my search is Cami Grudzinski but she is a WDW Studios photographer, so she can only take DFTW I guess.

Everyone seems to have different preferences when it comes to photographers. We decided to book with Regina Hyman, because I've really liked all the photos I've seen from her, but the Arndt's and the Roots are really great as well. And you saw Kristen's photo - By the Robinsons is another photographer I've seen some really cute pictures from.

Some people prefer Randy Chapman or Misty Miotto, as well. And while they do great work, I know that a majority of their pictures aren't a style that I tend to gravitate to. And a couple people mentioned some other names too - don't feel like you can't go a bit outside the box!

Everyone has a different style they gravitate towards, and so who you may think is the best is going to be a bit subjective. But everyone has given you a lot of suggestions. Good luck on deciding on a photographer! I'm sure you'll love whoever you end up going with!

I had found out about Randy Chapman using these forums. It was the best decision we ever made for the wedding! Even though our disney package included a photographer, we elected to have them come for dinner instead during fireworks as we heard not great things. We had Randy about over 3 hours, with tip and time it cost about 550? We got about 1400 photos? Of which so many are absolutely spectacular! The disney photos have us about 40 good shots, 70 to choose from and they were low resolution. You get a high resolution disk from Randy! Disney wants to up charge you about 800 to make it high res that is stupid insane! Randy has an artistic eyes and knows the Disney ground so well! You can check out our photos on his page on Facebook, chapman photography !!! (Blaisdell/Goliber April 4,2014 Boardwalk Seabreeze Point!!!) I really recommend him to all! He was professional, fun, flexible wit our long list of photo requests, creative and wasn't stingy for time! You can tell he does this because he loves it! Also we had professional hair and makeup too, Janet Mednick? Worth every penny! Get Randy you won't regret it!

We used the Roots and I really can't express how great Jensey and Nathan are to work with.

There may have been less expensive options as we were 2 people who didn't put a high priority on photography and don't like getting our photo's taken, but they shot amazing photos and we really like to show them off.(Which is a first for us)

Jensey and Nathan were able to capture our wedding day in photo's the way we remember the day but without the blur. We welcomed the Roots as 2 members of the family by the end of the day with their great sense of humour and infectious love for each other.

Also they were able to accommodate a family session the day before the wedding for both sides of the family which was a great idea for getting some of the family shots out of the way before the wedding so we were able to enjoy more of the wedding day.

We used ii.do for our wedding photography service. All of your guests can be part of the fun because it allows everyone to be a photographer and get onto the big screen!

The Roots and Regina Hyman are my favorites that are "known." The others all have editing styles that I don't care for.

I used my favorite photographer from home (south Florida) - Poirier Wedding Photography and they are FANTASTIC. They do Disney weddings now and are just the best!

I think 'best' photography is something very subjective. When we first decided on a Disney wedding, I spent a ton of time looking at websites, planning journals, and blogs to get a feel for what I liked and to compare pricing. We've decided to go with a photographer from home named Michael Meeks. That said, there seem to be a lot of good options for Disney brides -- it all really depends on what you like in terms of style and what fits into your budget.

Hi, I know picking a photographer can be a hard choice and I fully agree with what has been said about feeling comfortable with your photograoher as well as knowing and liking their style.
