What is the best phone card to buy here so that when I am in Orlando I can call home?

Which card gives me the most/cheapest minutes?? Last time I bought a $20 card there which only gave me like 10 mins or so of time.

Thanks!!

Stephanie

We always use the president choice phone card from zehrs/no frills. There is no extra charge for using a payphone and it is 4 cents per min. We always buy the $5.00 cards and just activate as we need them (they expire 6 months after activation i.e. first call)
don't buy the walmart ones they have a huge surcharge for pay phone use

we've had good luck w/ finding at&t cards @ target - sometimes the phone cards are even on sale. we always get the ones for calling back to Canada

We also have had great luck with PC phone cards . usually buy a $10 one and have lots of minutes left over when we get home .

This might be a stupid question - but is there only one type of PC phone card? I mean, I know they come in diff denominations, but is there only one kind? lol

Thanks

Stephanie

Yup, PC is the best deal in Canada! No fees or surcharges at all - many of the other cards, both here and in U.S. have surcharges for using payphones, but not PC. At .04/mins, you can't go wrong! Great customer service too, and you can top up online, or, do auto top-up.

It's a great card - incidentally, Bell is the service provider.

In answer to the above question: There is only 1 long distance PC card. The other cards that are there are for their pay as you go cell phones.

Happy phoning, Tiger :)

I also highly recommend PC phone cards. I bought a $10 long distance one for my last trip. My calls were 4 cents/minute and I had close to 300 minutes! I saved SO much money. On my 2007 trip I racked up $80 in cell phone charges.. on my trip a few weeks ago I used payphones and only spent $10!

Look for the one that has a picture of a telephone on it, not the globe. It has better rates than the international one(since you're only going to be in the U.S.).

Here's a link to the president's choice page about their phone cards. The one that you'll want is pictured on the left.

I don't use phone cards. Instead i signed up for Worldline $3.95/mo unlimited within Canada and $13.95/mo for unlimited international!

They charge your first and last month. It can be added to a home line and one cellular line...

The only catch is that you have to call a number ... I guess that's no different than a phone card.... before you dial the call and they don't guarantee the best connection. All in all, i am very happy with this deal! My hubby travels a lot and I have called ontario, florida and australia!
