Best pen for character autographs

I have a 6 and 11 yr old going to Disney for the first time. They are very intersted in getting the character autographs. What is the best type of pen to get. I remember seeing a thread about this one time, but I could not find it.

They sell pens in the parks that I think would be best. They are fatter pens that click open and closed. We used sharpies and they work great but they bleed onto the back of the page. My sister (20 yrs old and standing in line to meet characters ) used the pen I am talking about and it came out much better. Just nothing with a cap as you will probably lose it in line- and help them out by having your autograph book open to the right page and pen ready to go! Have fun

My sharpie didnt bleed through the pages but I felt bad handing it to the characters with big paws or white gloves, I was afraid they would get it on themselves.

I bought the "Retractable Sharpie" in a few different colors and they worked great for us. I also bought colored index cards and had them signed instead of a autograph book... my thought was that we would take pictures and put the index card and picture in a scrap book.

The characters were really good about signing on the blank side of the index cards and we got a lot of thumbs up from them about the retractable sharpies! Now if I would just take the time to do the scrap booking!

DD,5 and DS,3 used retractable sharpies and they worked wonders bring extra incase you loose one....We were at WDW 5 days and I brought 2 along and we used one all 5 days- it lasted and the characters liked them too- I clicked and put the pen in their hand for them

Fat pens seem to work well.

We used a princess pen that had about 5 or 6 different colors of ink so DD could choose which color to use for each character.

I like the fat Disney pen that they sell as well. I just can't use the sharpie b/c I'm too terified of either the character getting it on their clothes or us getting it on ours. I would be devastated if I was to blame for ruining a characters costume!

We use retractable sharpies and index cards in a binder, works great. For the next trip we just take out the ones we got on the previous trip (because like a PP they never made it to the scrap book) load up some new cards and off we go.
