Hello everyone!

I am running the Wine and Dine half this year, and I am looking for a place to carbo load on property the night before the race.

As of right now I can make ADRs at: Ravello, Trattoria al Forno, or Via Napoli. I know to say away from Tony's thanks to the DIS team...haha...and Tutto Italia and Portobello Country do not have reasonable ADR times.

Based on your experience, what would be my best bet?

Many thanks in advance!

We r trying Via Napoli in October but we thoroughly enjoyed Tutto Italia. Great Italian food and fantastic service

I don't know how you feel about Mama Melrose's but they have couple of lunch opening for 11/5th.

My son is also running 10K and 1/2 for Wine and Dine so I had to look for somewhere he can eat pasta.

I made ADR for Mama Melrose's because it has good reviews from here....hoping to change to dinner if there's any cancellations.

I know AOA has "make your own pasta" so that might end up being his dinner. I believe there's other resorts that has "make your own pasta" but I don't remember where that is. Anyone?

My family has enjoyed eating at Mama Melrose. We would recommend it. Good food selection and efficient service.

How about another alternative? Il Mulino at the Swan. Best Italian on property by far.

We loved Trattoria and Via Napoli is great too. Also agree Mama Melrose is good too! So many choices ;)

I second this! Wonderful restaurant! I'm also a fan of Via Napoli, though it's not as good or authentic as IM. Don't have the same love for Mama Melrose's. Had really subpar food there a few years back.

TONYS.

Kidding, Sorry, couldn't resist. Lol.

We love Tutto Italia. Wasn't blown away by Via Napoli. Same company but definitely different chef. Probably best to stick with the pizza at VN. I forgot all about Il Mulino. We'll have to try that.. I just saw they take TIW! :thumbsup2

If your asking which restaurant has the best pasta dishes I would have to say Il Mulino followed by Tutto Italia. I can't put Via Napoli in with these two since I don't think their offerings other than their pizza is all that great. If it were just pizza, yes, VN is very good. Outside of Pizza it's average. Just my opinion.

Il Mulino is far and away the best Italian on property probably followed by Tutto. The quality of Portobello has gone down dramatically in the past few years (both food and service) I didn't even eat my dish when we went last year as it was inedible (I have gotten this dish previously and it has been delicious). We have only been to Trattoria once, the food was OK but not even close to Il Mulino. Never been to Ravello, and Mama Melrose is good but again not as good as Il Mulino or Tutto.
