Also wanted to point out that there is a security entrance right when you arrive to DTD via the walkway that leads from the bridge (over by the old Rainforest Cafe building). But this is a CM security entrance only and you cannot enter here. (You CAN exit here at the end of the day, however.)

The DTD entrance is between the DLH and Earl of Sandwich, so you would need to walk past the CM security. Someone else reported DTD security doesn’t open until 8:30 or 8:45 though. I don’t have any experience to know if it’s open any earlier than that at this time. To be safe might want to walk through the tran route if you are arriving early.

Since PPH reopens June 15, I imagine they will open the DtD security as early as the GCH and Harbor entrances.

I would personally just walk the tram route. It’s easy and drops you right into the esplanade. Security for M&F is right inside the structure before you walk the tram route.

Just go via the standard way then. Just follow the crowds off the escalators. You will walk a little further but won't get lost.

But for reference, the security entrance for DtD is just past the CM entrance, to the right of it is a street that leads to DLH. The security check entrance is across from the big star hat at the DLH entrance.

For anybody else who has been trying to figure this out, Gardenwalk has removed the special theme park rate from their website.

Gardenwalk costs $30 but it’s pretty convenient. The walk is about 20 mins to Esplanade using Harbor entrance, which is far less crowded.

Have you been watching the Harbor side since AC opened? It is not less crowded by any stretch. I agree Gardenwalk is convenient though.

We went yesterday but didn’t go at rope drop. We hit the Harbor side of Espanade at 9:15 with zero wait at screening or gates.
