Best park on a rainy day?

We did not have our ponchos at the AK when we were forced out of the Lion King musical (old location) with no place to go but out in the open for a very long stretch. We go soaked.

We exited the monorail and were being told to exit the area into another massive downpour. We hopped over into the other monorail and took a ride around the loop. I think we entered the monorail train through it's exit doors...

Most of the time we could get away without a poncho but in some cases, there is not choice but to head into a heavy rain with no place to get protection.

In general, I think MK and DHS are best for rainy days.

Our last day at epcot it rained from about 10 am to sometime late at night. We were lucky we got our Test Trak ride in as it was closed most of the day.
One bad thing was that all the street bands and jugglers at WS then got the day off too. They are one of the highlights for me as I like many of them.
Not as bad as being in a waterpark when the big rains hit though.

Best park on a rainy day is DHS. Pretty much everything is inside except not fun if Fantasmic get's cancelled. Epcot isn't too bad as a lot is inside as well. Worst park for me is MK as so much is outside. Best thing on a rainy day is that the parks are not as crowded.

I guess I'm crazy, but I enjoy a nice shower or two during my trips (note I didn't say downpour. Lol. Just a nice rainy day). To me MK is beautiful in the rain. And it's cooler on hot days. And the crowds thin out! So - your question was which park is best in the rain. And to me that is MK just because it's so darn magical in the rain!! Yes. I'm a Disney nerd, I know.

I would bring a poncho. I love the rain because the crowds go down. I would not bring an umbrella due to lightning.

I hate the suggestion of ignoring weather forecasts at any point because ignoring it does you no good whatsoever. No, extended forecasts are not always accurate but they do paint a picture of what is possible. For example, this thread. HAd you ignored the forecast you wouldn't have asked the question about what parks people recommend...maybe you wouldnt have known what attractions may close or what parks would be the most crowded. I personally hate Epcot when it rains because there is alot of uncovered walking and everywhere inside is crowded and that happens to be your scheduled park for the day. So, if it were me I would have another day in mind that you can change to if the radar shows extended rain on that day.

Thats feedback your won't get if you ignore the forecast.

Watch it, see whats possible, bring extra gear if need be (ponchos, shower curtains for stroller covers, extra socks, extre pair of sneakers for the room, etc) and be prepared.

Magic Kingdom, more places to get indoors and/or shop that are close to you. Although my thought is a rainy day anywhere at Disney is better than being in my office

I like Epcot best in the rain. You can spend a decent amount of time in either The Land or The Living Seas. I personally could pass several pleasant hours viewing the aquarium.

I'm a big AK fan, but I felt frustrated when I was there in the rain. It seems the ground is less even there, so there were more puddles to step in. I don't mind the rain coming down on me in my poncho, but I don't like stepping in water pooled on the ground.
