Hi

Just looking for specific bags that you like for the parks? I was thinking either crossbody or bookbag type bags.

It depends on what you have to bring. Last year we tried to not have a bag. We just had stuff in the bottom of the stroller. Otherwise I use a very small crossbody purse when I don't have pockets for my phone

I’m right now hunting for just that! But I’ll love to know what others are using to aid in the search!

Vera Bradley has nice, light weight bags. I prefer the solid color ones. They can really take abuse and still look great.

I used to love Vera Bradley, but they are not friendly during summer rainstorms. The past few years I've been using Baggalini crossbody bags and love them! I actually found one yesterday at TJ Maxi for $30 so they're pretty reasonable.

I prefer a small backpack so the weight is evenly distributed across my shoulders. I've had problems with neck and shoulder pain from carrying a bag on just one shoulder. I tried alternating which side I carried it on, but it didn't help. Finally switched to using a small backpack (at my doctor's recommendation) and I haven't had a problem since then. Loungefly is my favorite, although the side pockets aren't big enough on any of mine to hold a water bottle.

I just use my regular purse, a Lily Bloom satchel. The fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles, so it's a bit more waterproof than most fabric bags which is nice in FL rain and water rides.

Truthfully
None
That would be my dream, to go through the 'no bag' line at security! But I just can't seem to do without a bag. I need to have sunglasses (stored in bag on rides), painkillers (just in case), cash, comb (vain I know but for those photopass opportunities), phone, small water bottle to fill up, On sunny days I bring sun lotion too.

I swear by Kipling crossbody bags. Lightweight, zip closures, lots of pockets, rugged material. Crossbody bags allow you to be hands-free, yet still give you quick, easy access to what you need.

I bought a Kavu crossbody bag for my upcoming trip... I tried it out last summer during the HP Wizards Unite event in Indianapolis and it worked wonderfully for the small load I had with me then. Mine is the Rope Sling version - I wanted something waterproof, just in case.

We use a Jansport backpack. Jansport Agave to be exact.

I used a Nike “fanny pack” but it was HUGE. You could also wear it like a cross body. It was able to hold 2 autograph books, 2 sunglasses, a bottle of water and other misc things. I kept a clear bag inside of it with smaller necessities so I could just lift that bag out for bag checks. I loved not having anything around my shoulders and it was easy to quickly open for bag check.

I have been looking at those. Does the short ride up at all? I would love to not take a bag with me.
No, not at all. They are designed by someone who does Run Disney events. They are game changers, as far as I'm concerned.

Hi

We use a back pack to hold raincoats, autograph book with sharpies, snacks, sunglass cases, phone chargers, small items (contact solution, tissues etch).
What I've learned, my backpack has TOO MANY zippers. Security has to unzip and look in each section. (I actually unzip before I get to the table.) This just makes it take longer. We keep items inside the bag in clear ziplock baggies, this way security doesn't have to open up any additional pouches, they see everything that is in our bag. (this makes it go faster)

What would I look for now that I've gone to Disney a number of times. A smaller bag pack with good padded straps. A large single zipper section to put everything into. Most back packs also have a small zipper section on the very front. So 2 zippers max.

We also split up. One goes through the bag check, other parent and child go through the no bag line. The bag check lines would be shorter if people split up. You really don't ALL need to stand in the bag check line.
