best outlet store for prom dress

Is there anywhere to buy reasonable priced prom or evening wear?
We will be in Orlando in April and my DD would love to bring back a dress to wear to her prom in the summer.
I looked at the outlet websites but would like to know which shops to try.

Don't overlook thrift stores. My daughter found three wonderful dresses at a charity event, and bought all three since there was no dressing room to try them. Total cost --- $15 as I recall. She wore her favorite, which was just beautiful on her, and gave the other two to a neice.

Try Freecycle - I gave away a dress last month to someone who requested one on freecycle.

There is one in the Beltz Outlet Annex (think they now are called something different) that is strictly gowns & formal dress. They have very nice items & the prices werent' that bad. I just cannot remember the name of the store It may be an outlet for Cache... just not 100% positive.

Ross Dress for Less sometimes has really pretty prom dresses. I've never seen one for over $39. I'm not sure if there is one in Orlando, but I did see one in Ft. Myers.

Wonder if there is a David's Bridal near there? I am surprised at how reasonable their dresses are - I'm sure for bridesmaids, but I've seen many a high school girl here purchase their prom dresses at that store...

Actually there is a Ross & TJ Maxx next to each other on International Drive just before you get to the Beltz Designer outlet.

Yes, I can't remember the name of the place but I got a lovely evening gown at that store at Belz for $89. They had a ton of dresses, everything from simple wedding gowns to bridesmaid/prom style dresses.

glad to hear that we should be able to get one to bring back with us. I'm not sure how American sizes compare with UK, should be fun for her trying them on. I wasn't sure whether Belz etc sold things like this as when we have been before we were only really interested in Tshirts and souvenirs.

Group USA has a store at Belz Factory Outlets. They have some really nice dresses. www.groupusa.com
You can check out some of the possibilities...although I my guess is...that they would be selling last years leftover prom dresses!?

just looked at the website above and also Davids Bridal (there is one in Orlando).
The prices look great. We pay quite a lot more over here, so shopping for things while on holiday makes sense.

With the exhange rate so heavely in your favor you may want to stop by the mall as well. While they won't be as cheap as the outlet you could still find some reasonable prices.
