I didn't vote as I haven't been to all of these, but my nephew who is in his 20s and lives in Orlando says it's Volcano Bay no questions asked. As it's more expensive than other waterparks too he says it is less crowded too.
This place is so close and so easy to drive past but once you enter it is unexpectedly large and extremely safe and family friendly.
They are open weekends thru Thanksgiving and open their season early in Spring. Look for special discounts to purchase AP for next year that will start immediately.
I live nearby and love this place! Close to Target and the Margaritaville Resort on Animal Kingdom side of the world…
We are at H20 Island water park. Thanks to who ever mentioned it. A bit smaller and less to do than Disney water parks and Aquatica. The deals were great. I paid $54 for ticket online and noticed it was only $39 more to make annual pass.
I should have paid $69 online for annual pass- which is for next yr. this would be free parking (10$) and cup worth $14.
My daughter are planning to come back Tuesday when my husband and son go to Tampa for football and hockey game.
I wish I had known about margaritville earlier. I heard it was expensive. But we booked this this last minute and ended up paying a lot for a unit at regal palms. We booked flight Thursday and left Saturday.
I voted Volcano Bay. I have not been but my DS has who has also done the Disney ones for years. He said it's a new level of water park, from the slides, to how it works, to the better food & drink, to the fact that ALL the water is heated.
My nephew who lives in Orlando said the same thing your son said HopperFan about "Volcano Bay" being a new level of water park and a fantastic experience. He highly recommended it to me. Just posting again as I was stuck by the phrase, "new level of water park" being practically his exact words too.
In my younger days I would have been all over this and checking it out on my next trip. I must be getting old though as my plans for a week in Orlando in March are pretty chill -- just doing a few theme parks (3 days), visiting relatives in the area at their homes (2 days) - Those days should lend themselves to some hang out time at the condo resort, and we left a day open as a resort day too -- My whole family and extended family hate to stay at a really nice resort and not spend a decent amount of time there.
I think we are out of the norm....we did Aquatica once (last December) and nobody in our group (ages 11-46) had any desire to go back. We all got pretty bored by the end of the day. We have been to Typhoon Lagoon twice and liked it. This upcoming trip we are going to Volcano Bay and are very excited about it.
