Best Options For 6 People

There will be six of us traveling in 2020. I don't think renting points will work--most of the group would want housekeeping every day. We are looking at a Family Suite at Art of Animation or two rooms at French Quarter.

Our last trip we basically left in the morning and didn't return until the evening most days. So we did not take advantage of pools, resort restaurants, etc. We use Disney transportation and we will have one wheelchair.

Do you have any thoughts/ideas I should keep in mind when choosing one of the options above or are there other options you would recommend?

Thanks in advance!!!

How old is everyone? All one family?

My first instinct is to say 2 rooms at POFQ. It is a small, easy to navigate resort. And with 2 rooms you will get 4 beds and 2 bedrooms. At AoA there is only one bedroom, and the rest is an open area sort of divided a bit by the layout.

Having a mother in law along seals it for me. Two rooms. But I was raised that the older people get priority, so that would mean your mother in law would get the one bedroom.

All one family. Me, wife, son 16, daughter 11, mother, mother-in-law.

Of the two options you've posted, I would do two rooms at POFQ - you'll get 4 queen beds as opposed to one queen and two doubles in the AoA suite.

If you aren't spending a lot of time in the room, perhaps consider two rooms at Pop? You would also get 4 queens there and might save some money over POFQ.

2 at pofq
EASily navigated, one bus stop, smaller but beautiful resort. Enjoy!

Mother and MIL get one room, you, wife and kids get the other. Or wife, daughter, mother and MIL get one room, you and son get the other.

I’d get two rooms, no way I’d want to share a room with the mom and mother in law, plus the real beds instead of the double beds that are pull outs.

I would book 2 rooms for sure. Mom and MIL need their own bed, your family of 4 can share the other one room, dad and son, mom and daughter share beds might be the best option.

2 rooms for sure! We looked at the suites at AoA, but decided on 2 rooms at POP instead. Queen beds make a difference for people sharing who aren't couples (ie my teenagers lol).

Definitely 2 rooms at POFQ (or somewhere similar). 4 beds, 2 bathrooms.

ASM Music has family suites that sleep six but they sell out fast. Plus if you get two rooms at POFQ you will be spending about the same amount that you would for renting points. POFQ are around $270 a night plus tax for one room. Plus you will have to pay for parking at POFQ $19 a day but if you rent points you don't pay for parking.
What are your dates and I can look as see how many DVC point it will take and give your a price for a DVC stay. Plus you can get daily housekeeping service with DVC stays

Another vote for 2 rooms, assuming the moms get along well enough to be roommates for the duration of the trip.

We have the same, me, mother in law :), my daughter SIL and 3 kids....last time we did AOA which was awesome, but I ended up on the pullout, which was very nice but troublesome to put up and down every day. This time we are doing two rooms at POFQ so we will see how it goes.
