Best option when leaving the parks at closing via parking deck.

I've heard that it could get crazy at closing because both parks share the same decks.. What is the best option when leaving...any tips?

I always leave before closing to avoid the bulk of traffic. Other than staying at CityWalk for a late dinner, drinks or just hanging out, I don't know of any way to avoid the traffic.

One of the parking decks, I believe it's the one with King Kong, always has a huge line of cars heading out when we leave. After you get out of the deck the road comes to a fork. Virtually every car takes the left fork. We take the right one, which ends up at the same place ahead of all those other cars.

hmmmm..is it best to leave an hour or so before the park closes..(When I'm there it closes at 9).. or go to a late dinner/drinks at city walk?

You'll never go wrong hanging out at City Walk. Why give up an hour of park time you probably paid a good deal of money for?

You could always pay for valet parking also. Its much less of a walk and there's no traffic leaving. We love valet parking (free with premier pass) However there's usually a line if you leave right at closing. But there's benches you can sit on while you are waiting for your car.

We usually ride FJ one last time right at park closing and then walk slowly when we leave the park. That way we are leaving the park well after closing and avoid the rush.
