This is true, and yes I will def crave out time to visit Minnie at AK. Think that is the best option.
I think I'm gonna go with 1900 and def cancel out chef mickeys and Caoe May respectively.

I must have had some pixie dust today, as I scored both a breakfast and dinner at 'Ohana. Are character present for dinner too? Or just breakfast?

Characters are at O'Hana just at breakfast.

@jwfla422 thanks for the info and review links. Very useful. :)

Going to stick with 1900 and Tusker house and drop Chef Mickeys and Cape Mays (catching missing at AK)

Not sure about Ohanas breakfast or dinner.
Did not realize that it is a very small offering at Ohana breakfast, is it really worth it? And what about dinner...I heard some bad review lately, and just second guessing our reservation, again the dinner would be on the first night we arrive. And don't want a bad experience and put a sour taste for the rest of our vacation.

We have done chef mickeys - actually I thought the food was good! it was a bit hectic but with any character dining it's going to be like that. And as for the character interaction it was brilliant! Maybe we just got a good day but our experience was really great. It was in March of this year during flower and garden. Our little boy was only 9 months at the time so the only characters he knew were the fab five and he just loved them, and they were really really brilliant with him too. We will be back sept 16 and it is def on my must do list. It was for breakfast and we will probably book for breakfast again.

I haven't done the other two yet. However everyone is right it is about picking the characters that your children are going to enjoy.

One other thing we did Tusker house sept 2 months back and at that time Minnie was there. We had out photos with Minnie, mickey, daisy, Donald and goofy. However it may have changed since then but she was def there. We have been twice before and all fab had been there. However another option for Minnie is the new character dining at Hollywood and Vine - dinner only tho but I believe it is continuing through out 2016. Breakfast and lunch are other characters. Might be an alternative option.

I need to help to narrow down my ADR choices, and would like to know which one to drop?
I have 2 girls (4,2) it is their first time, and will be celebrating their birthdays. We arrive at 8.40 in the morning and plan to have our first meal with characters (hoping that it be a great start to our week in Disney with great food and awesome character interaction)

Chef Mickeys (very concerned about the food quality and poor character interaction)
Cape May Cafe (not enough breakfast selection, but I've read that character experience is good)
1900 Park Fare (not sure...no experience with reviews)

We leave on Sat early morning and hoping to get this sorted out prior so I would have my breakfast in order.

Thanks so much!
(Super excited!!!!)

Hi, those are good choices. The only one we have not done is the Cape May breakfast. My daughter loved the 1900 breakfast, my son Chef Mickeys. We have done quite a few. Hands down my daughter and my favorite was the Princess Storybook Dining in Epcot (Norway) If your girls love princesses this is the one to go to. Much more intimate too. Whatever you choose I'm sure your kids will love it.princess::tink:

1900 is great but definitely cramped. Good food and character experiences. CM is good for seeing the fab 5 only. Food not totally horrible but def not with the price.

You can catch all the main characters at Epcot character spot. No expensive meal required!

1900 Park Fare was the best breakfast buffet we had. The food and characters were the best...and my daughter didn't even know who Mary Poppins was. She had a blast with the characters - and the gummy bears they had for breakfast:banana:

NOTE1: Results are listed from best to worst. Overall, Tusker House wins due to best food and the length of time the characters stay at each table. A close second is 1900 Park Fare. By far, Chef Mickey's is the loser, due to mediocre character interaction and almost terrible food quality. The very distant second worst is Cinderella Royal Table, for brief time at tables by characters and the new menu.
