Which hotel in your opinion or from what you've read/heard has the best pool and isn't located in the DLR, and what makes it the best?

Just curious and I'm always looking for a great pool to relax by after a long day or half day at the park.

The HOJO has a great kids water play area, along with a quiet pool. The pirate ship has slides and stuff for the kids, it gets great reviews. Although one parent did make a great point, she takes the kids back to rest, not to wear them out more playing on this.

Adult pool...I dont know

Kid pool...I have been reading nothig but rave reviews on Hojo

On a related note, what is southern California swimming season? I'm a Nor Cal girl where we get really cold in the winter, and I know temps are more mild down south. We'd like to book HoJo at a time when the kids can enjoy the new pool area - how early/late in the year can you still enjoy swimming in Anaheim?

Hubby and son thought the Garden Pool at HoJo (the ONLY pool there now) was terrific. And to me, walking past, it looked BIG and lovely!!!

The water play area seems fun, but it is not a pool at all.

The quiet pool at Anabelle also looked lovely, but honestly, Disney trips are for Disney, NOT swimming, and I've never been swimming during a Disney trip (as an adult) other than two short (and unheated) visits to the PPH pool.

The Anaheim Plaza has a huge pool. And a hot tub.

The Anabella has two pools. One is just for adults so it's a bit quieter.

I've used both the Anaheim Plaza pool and the adult pool at the Anabella. Both were lovely.

We stayed at the Sheraton Park hotel and they have a great pool. It's huge and they even have a pool bar where you can get drinks and snacks it's really relaxing and beautifully landscaped. The pool was a little cool when we were there but they were having issues with the heater it's not normally that cool the maintance guy said. We were there in December. But we are Canadian and my kids will swim in anything even the ocean lol.

The HoJo hands down. Altho with only 1 pool it can be crowded some of the time. We generally take a load of pool toys and share with everyone while we are there. Be warned tho that not everyone does share and that if your kids are used to sharing and they don't want to there could be issues.
Also, the CCI has a nice pool area, it's small though and the Tropicana pool is nice as well. The Trop has a HUGE hot tub too, that's the best part. :)

I am a wimp, and think so cal swimming weather is July - Sept. Many hot tubs are too cool for me, in fact at GC only one of their two hot tubs is even hot !

I second the Sheraton Park Hotel because it has a pool bar that is really nice. Other nice pools, in my opinion, are the HoJo, Ramada Maingate (which is nice for an 'economy property,' Tropicana (although in the middle of a parking lot), Sheraton Anaheim.
