We usually stay offsite because we trade our vacation time (time share) in Vegas for Orlando. The
room amenities are comparable to the Disney Vacation club properties. ie Old Key West, Beach Club, Saratoga etc. Please note the time share properties do not have the same customer service amenities that you will get a hotel.
Calypso Cay = Too close to the expressway
Sheraton Vista = about 1 mile from WDW. Nice property, 7 pools but you need to request a unit close to the pools, more center of property. The far out laying bldgs don't look as well kept.
Marriott Cypress Harbor = All 2 bdrm units only, sleep 8. Close to Sea World, 15 minute drive to WDW. Several pools, some of the decor is a little out dated but they are currently updating the property. 1 pool (there might have been another one).
Horizons By Marriott (I think they recently changed their name) = across the street from Marriott Cypress Harbor. Newer property, we stayed in a 2 bdrm unit slept 8. Not as spacious as Cypress Harbor but the furniture and decor were newer and vibrant. 2 pools. Our unit looked out over the lake. Nice property. Close to Sea World, 15 min to WDW.
Marriott Grande Vista = Staying there end of May09. We've had such good luck with the Marriott properties that we booked another. We like to change it up all the time.
Gaylord Palms =
www.mousesavers.com always says that they get great feedback from those that have stayed here.
